Terms of Service!

You must read and agree to these terms to commission me.Last Updated: 3/9/2024

Basics:

  • I have the right to change these terms at any time.

  • I have the right to decline a commission for any reason.

  • I reserve all rights to the artwork I create as its artist. I have the right to post my artwork anywhere I choose in order to promote myself.

  • The commissioner (or the owner of a character depicted in my work) may use the art I produce non-commercially, so long as I'm properly credited. Finished pieces may be re-uploaded. Please provide credit and a link to me in its description.

  • Contact me if you wish to use art I created for commercial purposes. I'm happy to negotiate deals based on what you want to use it for.

You May Not:

  • Sell my artwork or use it commercially. The monetary value of a piece I have created is equal to the price paid for the commission. You may add that value to the value of a character you are selling. You may not reproduce the art I created and sell it.

  • Claim it as your own. Please leave credit intact and link back to me when you share my work anywhere.

  • Trace my work in order to claim it as your own. Referencing my work or tracing it for purely practice-related reasons is okay. If you do this and choose to post it somewhere, please include a link back to the piece you referenced in the credit.

  • Remove my signature without permission. For certain commissions, I am happy to leave my signature off the work for an additional fee. Please speak with me about it first so we can work something out.

  • Use my art for AI projects of any kind. I do not consent to my work being used to train image generators. I also do not consent to my work being put through image generators and edited in the process, such as to shade an unshaded piece or color an uncolored sketch.

  • Use my art for any projects involving the Blockchain. This includes all cryptocurrency and NFT-related projects. I have no association with these technologies and I do not want to.

I Will Draw:

  • "Furry" characters of all kinds, including anthros and ferals.

  • Closed species. If I am not familiar with the species, please provide a link to the anatomy guide of the species.

  • Humanoid characters.

  • Pieces depicting lore. I love creating things that relate to a character's story! I'm happy to incorporate details from writing, RP, or character profiles. Please mention them specifically if you want them included.

  • Gore. Keep in mind I may not be the right artist for gore-heavy art; my knowledge of internal organs is pretty spotty. But I'm happy to talk about what you might be looking for!

I Won't Draw:

  • NSFW. I am an adult and I occasionally draw it for myself, but I do not currently intend to take commissions for NSFW or fetish-related art.

  • Drug use. I have no issues with drugs or alcohol, but I also don't know enough about them to depict them faithfully in my art.

  • Guns. They're just too difficult for me <3

  • Robots/mecha with some exceptions. I am not confident in my abilities with these, but cybernetic limbs and robot versions of species I'm familiar with may be okay.

  • Any themes that make me uncomfortable. I reserve the right to decline commissions at my discretion.

Ordering and Payment!

Contact:

  • Contact me using one of the links above. I am currently most active on Toyhouse but email is also a reliable way to get in touch.

  • Please be specific about what you're looking for! If you DM me without mentioning commissions at all, I may just ignore you.

  • Feel free to use the following script:

Hello! I'm interested in commissioning you. I would like a (Icon/Halfbody/Fullbody/Other Commission Type) of (Character Link). I would like it to include (Other Relevant Details.) Please let me know if that's something you would be interested in drawing for me. Thank you!

  • You may contact me for updates as often as you like -- within reason. Keep in mind that sometimes the answer will be "I have not made any more progress since the last update."

References:

  • I require a visual digital reference. I will not work off of written descriptions or photographs of traditional art. Please make sure that all relevant character features and colors are present on the reference piece.

  • Written descriptions are okay for additional information. If you have a visual reference and choose to describe something further, that is okay. Describing lore and story is okay. I highly encourage you to point out easily-missed details on your references.

  • For clothing: I require a visual reference. You may show me photographs of specific articles of clothing rather than drawn references.

  • For backgrounds: Visual references are not required, but they can improve the final product. Showing me a photograph or two with the right mood can help me to create something that looks more like what you're looking for.

  • For poses: Visual references are not required, but if you have a specific pose in mind it can be helpful to find a way to show that to me! A photograph or a stick figure doodle will do the trick.

  • For custom designs: You are free to give me as much or as little guidance as you want; I enjoy creating designs with artistic liberty. I will create from any inspiration. If you ask me to work very closely with you on the design, I will ask for more references and guidance in order to get as close to your vision as possible.

Payment:

  • Payment is through PayPal invoice. I require full upfront payment within 48 hours of sending the invoice. I will not begin the commission until payment is sent in full.

  • You must be the legal holder of the PayPal account used to pay. I will not accept payment from a friend or relative's account. If a friend or relative is buying a gift for you, I will contact them directly to discuss and confirm the payment.

  • If you have a problem with your commission or the payment process, contact me before filing a claim on PayPal. If you file a claim to circumvent my refund policy I will block and blacklist you from my commissions.

Refund Policy:

  • You may request a refund at any time in the commission process. The amount refunded will depend on my progress on the piece.

  • A commission that hasn't been started will get a 100% refund.

  • A commission at the sketching stage will get a 75% refund.

  • A commission at the lining stage will get a 50% refund.

  • A commission at the coloring stage or beyond cannot receive a refund of any amount. At this stage I have already put in hours of work on the piece and you will have received updates of sketches and color. I cannot make you delete what you have already received of this commission from your files; to refund at this stage would be to give you that art and my work for free.

  • If you request a refund, you may keep the updates to the art that have already been sent to you. You may come back to me later and ask me to restart and finish the piece for full price.

  • You may not ask for a refund and take my sketches to other artists to complete for you.

Art Process and Updates:

  • All commissions will be completed within two months (60 days) unless otherwise specified. I will always keep my commissioners up to date if any problems arise. I am a disabled artist, and sometimes delays are unavoidable; please feel free to contact me if you need an update.

  • Sketch phases: Commissions which depict fullbodies (fullbody comms, scene comms, outfit designs, custom designs, etc.) will always go through a sketch phase. I will send you a progress sketch, at which point you will tell me everything that needs to be changed. Please state every change you want at once, if possible.

  • I will do three rounds of edits at the sketch phase without any additional charge. After that, we will discuss an additional fee for further changes.

  • If I get a character's details wrong (ex. missing traits, incorrect ear shape, wrong markings) I will correct them free of charge.

  • Make sure you get most of your edits out of the way at the sketch phase. After sketching has gone through, you will get updates for lineart, color, and rendering, as relevant to the commission type you've bought. At the time of receiving each of these updates, you may ask for minor changes; otherwise, I will ask you to approve them and move on to the next step.

  • When your commission is complete: I will send you the full resolution file. Up until this point, all updates will have been lower resolution than the art you receive at the end. You may request to be sent transparent and non-transparent versions of the same art.

Design TOS!

This section specifically details the rules for owning and/or purchasing a design I have created.

Design Ownership:

  • Once the payment has gone through and I have sent all relevant files to you, you are the owner of the design.

  • Once you are the owner of the design, you may do what you please with it. You may redesign it, trade it, resell it, make it into a fursuit, etc.

  • Once you are the owner of the design, I will not use it again except to advertise my work. I will only use the specific piece of art I created for this purpose. I will not take down the art I created from any pages it may be featured on.

  • Redesigns: Feel free to redesign freely. I will not be offended if you change every detail. Please leave the credit for the original design intact.

  • Reselling: Please do not buy my designs to mark them up and sell again for a profit. I consider the value of my designs to be the price you paid for it + the value of additional art it has received over time. I do not have an issue with you including personal work in the value of a character.

  • Fursonas: Feel free to use my designs as fursonas, mascots, etc!

  • Merch: Creating and selling items which features designs made by me is allowed only as long as the items are not mass produced for commercial sale. Feel free to create prints, charms, plushies, etc. as long as credit for the design remains intact!

  • Copying and color picking: Color picking from my designs is okay. Taking inspiration from features I include in my designs is okay. Fully copying my designs is not, and I will block you when it comes to my attention.

  • Co-owning: Co-owing my designs is fine. I will not get involved in any dispute between you and the person you co-own with.

  • NSFW content: All NSFW content including my designs must be properly filtered by the standards of the website it is posted on. Characters depicted must be 18+. If it comes to my attention that you are using a design I created to depict content that I am uncomfortable with, I will block you and decline future business from you.

Design Payment:

  • Payment is through PayPal invoice. I require full upfront payment within 48 hours of sending the invoice. I will not transfer ownership until payment is sent in full.

  • You must be the legal holder of the PayPal account used to pay. I will not accept payment from a friend or relative's account. If a friend or relative is buying a gift for you, I will contact them directly to discuss and confirm the payment.

  • I do not do holds or payment plans. I will consider it with people I know and trust, but in my experience people lose interest before their hold is up and choose to back out frequently.

  • Don't change or retract offers. Only offer what you can pay for. I understand if emergencies arise, but if it happens multiple times I will choose not to do business with you in the future.

  • Don't ghost me. If more than a week passes without a response, I will reopen the design for offers; if this happens multipl times I will choose not to do business with you in the future.

  • Do not dispute charges on PayPal without speaking to me first. If you attempt to chargeback when the design already belongs to you, I will block and blacklist.

  • Payment must be made in full by one person. I will not accept payments from multiple people for the same adopt. If you are helping a friend with a purchase, please consolidate the full payment on one account and make the payment from there.

Refund Policy:

  • I do not refund character designs. Once it has left my possession I will not buy it back.

I will design characters for any setting and any species! I really enjoy working with artistic liberty, but I'll work as closely with you as you want!

Other!

I may also be williing to do commission types not listed above. I have experiences with sketch pages, full scenes, and reference sheets, but they're usually more experimental and will need to be talked about in more detail before I know if I can do them in exchange for money.

Sketch Page
Starting Price: $60

Includes a set of uncolored sketches. What the sketches actually are will depend on the character and the inspiration, because I do my best to match these to story and lore! One sketch page at base price ($60) will include a fullbody and a halfbody. More elements can be added beyond that by paying more; we will need to discuss the cost of each additional element!

Reference Sheet
Starting Price: $60+

A reference sheet at base price ($60) will include a fullbody, a color palette, the character's name & pronouns, and any additional written information you like. Anything additional (additional views, alternate forms, headshots, etc.) will incur an extra charge that we'll need to discuss!

Full Scene
Starting Price: $120

A full scene will include a fullbody, a background, and full rendering! It will be based on your characters' story or personality. Additional characters or particularly complex backgrounds will cost extra, and we'll have to discuss how much that would be!
