Hi! I’m Flaire, I’m the manga author/artist for my manga Dimensions. It has no solid release date, but it’s a passion project I’ve been doing for the last 9 years and I absolutely am in love with this project. This is my blog to infodump and keep up with myself and my growth!

Summary of the Manga (very subject to changing as I develop it and learn how to write summaries): 

Sirens are blaring as four college students are transported to another Dimension. Blackmailed by an organization titled the “SDC” (Scientific Diagnostics? Corp) these four students need to go off and save their families and friends in a high-stakes dimensional adventure to find a selection of artifacts that will make this corporation the ultimate power.

This follows Amber, Luke, Luna, and Lance, CODENAME Dragon/Luke/Sky/Shade. I love this manga and these characters with my whole heart, and I hope I can convince whoever sees this to do the same >:]

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot is my potential to change characters. Between Dimensions they go through sometimes quite heavy design changes with certain things staying in-tact. (Dragon’s general hairstyle, arm band, some other small features) and general body build. However, I’m really excited to explore what I can do with side characters too tbh.

Something I’ve thought about for a long time is the main cast. The entirety of Dimensions explores a lot of themes but family is one that can be hard for me to write about. I want to expand on the main cast- but I think that’ll come naturally as I write. I’m not sure I can just do that in advance like I do with the side characters. Maybe some of them will develop further, I’m not sure. Might redesign side characters tomorrow for fun too, just little headshots and posing practice :]

Dragon really likes dogs, I think she would love to have one post-story.

In the first dimension, the gang has this little group of animals that are called Guardians. I played a lot of flash games as a kid so some of these are inspired off of the flash game styles… but they’re still very cool B]

I’m also throwing a non-guardian into this set since it’s relevant to the main cast! His name is Nightshade and he’s a friend of the main gang. 

Maverick is Dragon’s guardian, a snappy and sarcastic purple fox. He’s the most sound out of the group but he’s also a jerk lol

Petal is Shade’s guardian, a tan and flowery panther. I honestly haven’t established a lot about her. In the first version of the script she was very angry, but I don’t think that balances out Shade’s personality very well. Part of the guardians goals is to balance out their person’s big flaws, and he’s very anxious, so maybe she needs more of a “he asked for no pickles” vibe?

Charles is Sky’s guardian. He’s very slow, sleepy, and often doesn’t offer much to the group unless prodded or woken up. He’s very old, that’s pretty much his whole deal.

Nightshade, a magic dragon that befriends the main cast and aids them time and time again. He’s cool! In the first script he was british, I have no idea why I did that but I think it’s kind of funny. He’s no longer british? but if this ever becomes an anime I think I’m going to tell them he needs to be.
