i have opted out of the ai scraping but im probably not going to post art here anymore just in case due to that unconfirmed data dump that potentially took place before we got the opt out chance. i dont trust ai companies to follow tumblrs “advocate request” to delete already scraped data. i dont want to spread misinfo or fearmongering but i am going to err on the side of caution so. find me at cohost i guess, that’s the only place i really post art now. you can still find me on tumblr at my main tho @eclecticjace

I started a blog for the development of Haystack! You can find it here, along with some posts about my work on the comic over the last 3 years.

Early in 2023, I decided to take a break on development of Haystack. The project felt too ambitous for a first attempt at makng a comic, and I had other projects that I felt I could use as "practice" for narrative writing.

Haystack sat for several months untouched, until late October and early November, where I returned to my unfinished outline and took a look at how well my loose collection of ideas really benefitted the narrative. As a result, Inosilicate, Anil, and Dylan were unfortunately cut from the main lineup, though they will remain as minor supporting characters. This resulted in the story becoming much more concise, and easier to finish.

As of today, half the main cast's personal character arcs are outlined, and await final placement in the timeline. Once the outline is finished, it will be sent for proofreading before I head into a properly scripted first draft.
