this might be a controversial take but I am not a fan of azul’s plus size headcanons
in another universe, where he grew up in a happier environment where he loves himself, sure, he could be. but he’s not in that universe and he grew up bullied and hating himself and having pettiness and vengeance grow inside him.
it completely takes away the main factor in his character where he worked mentally and physically to be “conventionally attractive”/ where he is today.
also??? are we just going to ignore that fact that??? chapter 3 mainly happened because???azul wanted us to get rid of an old picture of him?? because he wanted to get rid of all memory of his past self??
obviously it’s not a good mindset to want to get rid of your past self completely but azul is so much more happier w himself now especially after overblotting and learning his lessons of not taking advantage of other students and taking control of his drive for revenge and “if I had it bad the rest should have it worse” ethic
I 100% encourage inclusivity in all things including body types but is azul really a good character to do it on??? as someone who does not have a healthy relationship with food and is trying to heal I definitely do not want someone trying to push me back to a time where I didn’t feel like I had control of myself and was most vulnerable

omg this is what i’ve always wanted to say but was too scared to, as someone who relates a lot to azul because of these issues.
to me, the whole idea of twst is young people dealing with different issues in (almost always) the most toxic ways possible due to their environment, and us, as readers, have to recognize these issues and learn from them to not repeat them. that’s why i love azul’s character, it was a step into a new mindset towards healing.
also, azul can have a broader build too for body type inclusivity! i feel like body types are often forgotten, but are just as important for representation as weight!
erm he actually has a BIG FUCKING CRUSH on the prefect ☝️🤓
he checks himself in the mirror after he hears that the prefect will be coming over
he gets a text from them and he literally gets excited and kicks his feet on his bed
I genuinely feel like Azul has some kind of crush/feelings on mc/yuu but it’s just one that’s not mentioned a lot like malleus (and ace sometimes). But it’s mostly just hinted that he has some kind of feelings towards yuu, whether it’s romantic or not, he feels something. It can be a crush or just admiration or high respect for them. (I also have another example from Glorious masquerade event but it won’t let me put on here-)
I know some are gonna see my pfp and be like “yeah sure, someone who is also a Azul fan agrees with this post” (first of all, I’m a mafia fish trio fan-). But even the some of the hints are like 🤨🤨🤨
(btw i don’t hate ace, he was just really getting on my nerves in that chapter lol)
