As Cruelty Becomes Heroic
Divine Tomfoolery

i think if you're going to complain about "problematic queer representation" in media you have to clarify what type of problematic you're talking about. is the bisexual character implied to be only "doing it for attention" or perpetuating homophobic stereotypes? yeah, you have a point, that's not great. is the lesbian "problematic" because she eats people? oh no that's fine, lesbians are allowed to do that if they want

List of fundraisers for direct contacts from Ghazzah & Sudan

This is a list dedicated to compiling people I have direct contact with in Ghazzah & Sudan. All of these fundraisers have been personally verified from start to finish by me. The ground invasion of Rafah and El Fashir grow nearer everyday. Please understand the urgency of this campaign.

Version date: May 3rd 2024.

With agreement talks dominating the news today, I don't know how to explain what it feels like seeing people in Gaza city cleaning up the streets in anticipation of welcoming their families and neighbours back, or seeing children chant "we want ceasefire!" in Rafah.

Always, always remember that these are the people you are advocating for, people who love life, as Darwish put it, so long as they find a way to it.

everyone please read this and share if you can.

Brazil is going through one of the worst climatic crisis ever seen.

i live in the southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul. we have been suffering from extreme, nonstop rainstorms for a week now. the rivers are flooding, reaching 4-6 meters above their natural level. people are being rescued by helicopters, neighborhoods are being evacuated. entire cities are slowly but surely becoming submerged in water. 60 people missing and counting. 32 deaths and counting.

and this is not new. last november also had a flood like this one. 50 dead, many material losses. it happened again this january, with thousands being left without power or water for days.

three catastrophical disasters within less than a year. three disasters only a few months apart.

this is not natural.

unsustainable agricultural practices and politics led to this. a complete disregard for nature led to this. greed led to this. always greed.

when it comes to the climate crisis, i cannot stress this enough: we need to act now if we still want to live. disasters like this are going to happen more often and they're going to be much, much worse. this flood is being considered the worst climatic catastrophe in the history of my state. i don't know how long it will take for another bigger one to happen and take its place. i just know it will be sooner than it should.

Help me, my brother Dr. Moaz Helles, and all my family to get out of Gaza

This is my brother, Doctor. Pharmacist Moaz Helles had a dream like everyone else. He works to have a family and finish his studies, but he came. The suspicious, ominous day, the day that. Demolish all. Our dreams and everyone had to practice. His profession in every. I am suffering and now it is me, my brother and all my family members. We seek to get out of this destruction and this bloodiness. Help me. My family and I. To survive Gaza, be a reason for my family’s survival. Share my donation link

Hey there, I feel like this is a necessary post because we have some Brazilian girlies here.

The southern state of Brazil, my state, is literally underwater right now, thousands of people lost their homes, some died and some are missing due to heavy flooding. If you're in one of the affected areas, please be careful, pay attention to the news as some emergency numbers aren't working anymore, they're sharing new ones. Seek safe shelter, either with family members or the public ones. There's also a risk of dam failure, the Civil Defense is constantly updating on those, be aware to know when you have to evacuate the area. If you can help with donations or even sharing the news to get to more people, you're more than welcome. I'll leave some links showing how to help. Please be safe, it's a disaster out there! And no matter what your personal belief is, please pray for those people.

PLUS! I've just posted a tutorial on SMOKE EFFECTS over on TIKTOK today (TikTok handle is @EtheringtonBros) hope it's useful! Lorenzo!

So initially I'm watching without audio, cause "oh cool, some pole dancing". But turn the fucking audio on

Do you know how hard it is to do this while standing still.

Do you know how hard it is to do this while doing something incredibly physically demanding.

Sound on.

So shook that I recognized them! That's Khadija Mbowe, a brilliant video essayist on youtube. Here's a link to their channel. They're brilliant and compassionate. Go check them out!

Khadijah Mbowe is mainly known for their video essays, classically trained opera, and pole dancing, both separately and together, and I think more people should know about them
