[ About the Artist ]

About the Artist
Thank you for the interest in me and my work!

Feel free to call me GW. I am a self taught, Christian, Freelance Artist born and raised in Canada. I am best recognized for my family-friendly, bright, illustrative original works and characters. Especially that of my little blue griffin, Blitz! Currently, I am spending my 20s going deeper with God as I study 2D Animation and explore the process of creating my own books and comics. I have a deep, natural passion to create, inspire and spread contagious hope with others and am blessed to share both my work and my journey with you ♡

I am unashamed to admit that my faith is a strong part of who I am and the foundation for all the work I put my hands to. I'm not asking you to like me nor am I forcing my faith upon anyone. I pray simply that God blesses you and that I, and my creations, may be able to see and treat you with His eyes of love, mercy and grace.
You'll recognise me best by these three characters:
Blitz, Sigrún and my persona GW!
I have a wide range of characters, stories and interests up my sleeves; always looking forward for new ways to grow! Some may not be 'atypical Christian' in nature but regardless of this I wish to keep to my integrity. From curious griffins and regal dragons, to ambitious anthros and grumpy Transformers- I venture where the winds take me!

11] While multiple requests can be made; commissions are NOT first come first serve (FCFS) nor will they be worked on in order of payment. Rather, they will be worked on based on motivation/ inspiration and any time constraints for example, health.
11b] I typically work in sets of up to a maximum of three commissions at a time, and make my way down the requests accordingly. Reference Sheets I try to keep as the only commission on queue alongside anything from my Ko-Fi and personal projects.
12] If your character is "complex" or among the considered subjects, I have the right to charge a fee to include these details. (see 1b)

16b] If your invoice is not paid within in timely manner (24hr) or within our agreed timeframe, the commission will be cancelled. Repeated counts of commissioning a project and failing to pay will result in blacklisting.

ⓘ This applies to adopting designs from me as well.

22b] Time and speed vary upon commission types.
Some may take as short as a few days to at least a month at best, and as late as a whole year. Due to this, I do not presently offer to work under deadlines.
23] I do not work in order of payment and may hop from one piece to another. This is especially prominent in times I may be waiting on your feedback. Larger pieces (ie. commissions with detailed backgrounds, numerous characters or complex characters) will especially take me more time.
24a] You may always follow along the process of your commission via my ( Trello ).

Please understand that; as stated in (20a); "you are required to contact me when you need to cancel a request" and however much you are refunded will depend on how far along we already are through the commission. (19a-19d)

☆ Time Disclaimer ☆
26a] Due to health complications (especially following the year 2021); I have had folks wait up to a year, sometimes longer, waiting on their commissions. Am I proud of this? No. I strive to be diligent and reliable in all I do and again will keep you informed on all updates concerning your commission. But my body can only handle so much at a time and is not as fast, nor as strong, as it used to be.
26b] Additionally, If you see me doing other art, ko-fi commissions, or resting at any time of any day during my work hours- I am refueling so that I may return to your commission at full power.

- One sketch + two optional revision sketches. (Totaling: 3 sketches)
- Any additional revisions at any point of the commission afterwards, unless minor or artist mistake, are an added +$5 fee.

34] Concerning Adopts:

[ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: What Program/tools do you use?
Answer: I primarily use Corel Painter essentials 7 with a Wacom Intuos pro tablet, alongside a Huion Keydial and Clip Studio Paint Ex. I use Adobe Animate CC for studies and apps Pixlr and inshot to prepare posts.
Question: Why do you only draw Tuesday through Friday?
Answer: I have very busy, exhausting weekends between volunteering at the shelter on Saturdays and Church on Sundays. Mondays I take as a day for myself to rest.
Question: How long have you been drawing for?
Answer: I've been drawing and creating artworks for as long as I can remember. I always naturally gravitated to it, but didn't decide take it seriously until 2013. That same year I discovered my calling toward animation/ children's entertainment and created my first of many characters, Blitz!
Question: What is your favourite subject or method to draw?
Answer: I really greatly enjoy drawing mythical creatures and or critters with wings, with a newer achieved passion for robotic subjects and characters. I also greatly enjoy drawing clouds! My favourite method/medium is probably water colour even though I lack the patience for the medium.
Question: Do you accept other payment methods/ currencies?
Answer: Despite it's ever growing fees (+8% atm), I use PayPal and PayPal alone. I do not accept art, points, or cryptocurrencies; only USD or CAD equivalent. Always check Google for conversions.
Question: Would it be rude to send an example of what I'm looking for?
Answer: Not at all! If you have a specific vision you are free to supply a sketch, pose, 'red line' a wip I send or even send me one of my previous posts as reference. The more clear and concise, the better and quicker we may finish your commission.
Question: What if I only want a sketch?
Answer: I do not offer just sketch or just lineart commissions. The closest are my traditional and greyscale sketch commissions via my Ko-Fi!
Question: Do you offer traditonal/ animated works or book illustrations?
Answer: At this present time, no I do not. I am still a student of both professional book illustrations and 2D animation and am uncomfortable offering commissions for them.

Concerning Traditional commissions, I only offer them on my Ko-FI! I have finally obtained a PO box as well and am able to ship ONLY the traditional commissions or shop items from my Ko-Fi.
Question: What identifies a complex character for the added fees? Why the difference of $5-15?
Answer: Characters that are robots, human/oids, unfamiliar species and or feature a wide range of characteristics (ie. extra limbs, colours, etc) are considered "Complex". As I grow this list may change, but I always want to expand my horizons whilst seeking to do the best of my ability. This however means it can take longer. Each fee amount (5, 10, 15) is associated with each crop (bust, partial, full-body/ ref sheets).

** Only accounts ONCE within a whole commission ie. for a ref sheet you will not be charged a complexity fee for every additional full body or feature.
** Does not attribute to characters of special physical needs such as a wheelchair or prosthesis.
** Conditions of fee are subject to change.
