CG_ground_L1.rw4, which is used at the start of the cell stage
its hard to tell but it DOES even have depth to it, its mostly clear when youre on a wide enough display (even just 16:9) and you see the background not tiling on one of the sides
theres also CG_ground_L1_minSpec.rw4, which consists entirely of this one flat plane. the texture is provided as well. i assume this is used with lower graphics settings
CG_ground_L2.rw4 is when it starts getting interesting, since this isnt used in the final game! the overall look of the ground just matches early cell stage models more
it DOES seem to appear in some early screenshots, like here (source). this actually has the early squirty too (its called poisoner internally)! which lines up with this being called L2, as squirty first appears in level 2.5 in the final game (though as a bigger cell than that)
heres CG_ground_L5.rw4 which is a lot simpler visually
