The houses in Arthur, like a lot of the show’s scenery, have a variety and realistic feel I don’t see in many other shows. They’re not all generic houses/apartments, or mansions that are a parody of wealth. Instead they actually feel like places people might live.
They also reinforce one of the show’s central theses: that there are lots of different kinds of normal and that whatever kind of upbringing a child may have, they’re not the only one.
