It really doesn’t matter if what you are “makes the community look bad.” Be your authentic badass self. If outsiders don’t get it that’s their problem. True allies care about the whole community, even the weird or inexplicable parts.

You don’t have to make sense to outsiders either. Or to yourself even. Just be. Exist with your whole self. Don’t be ashamed of any part of you. You’re wonderful and worthy of amazing things, just the way you are.
