Insidious Null

Before the fall, Null was an incredibly powerful angel. He was an information collector tasked to the work of how humans interact and use the tools around them. Often, his shadowy form gave him his strength — being able to sneak and spy on humans was a great advantage compared to the others around him, who were more flashy. He found his home in bars, places where humans let go of their troubles or absorb them into powerful emotions. It was fascinating to him how humans fell apart on one side of the establishment or on the other, were partying and having the best day of their lives. Lurking here was easy, simple work and beyond that he might follow them home time to time.

Usually it was the same thing, but his work was never boring to him.

He did not have the ability to get tired of his work, it was his role.

Yet, there was a human girl he grew attached to as she frequented the place. She was like an open book, loud and endearing to her peers. She never came alone but always showed many expressions on her face — confusion, happiness, anger, sassiness... he eventually began to understand what these emotions meant to a single person as they communicated their affections. Sooner then later, the fall that was a rumour began in him as well. He did not understand how it happened or why, but his feelings for humans became stronger as his power weakened.

He was no longer accepted into his society.

He knew he now needed to hide, that much was obvious to him yet he felt no remorse for what he did or what happened. Being with the humans felt natural, meeting this women felt like fate. Talking to her was easy, he learned and practiced many tricks to make his communication more appealing... he just never expected to see her all alone.

"I say... I have never witnessed another human as tragic as you."
