so weird how in english some words are really just used in expressions and not otherwise… like has anyone said “havoc” when not using it in the phrase “wreaking havoc”? same goes for “wreaking” actually…
the city where we live doesn’t allow public barbecues so my brother fucking welded a grill to a handcart and now hosts “chill and grill sessions” where he sends all his friends his live location so they can hunt him down on their bikes with sausages in their backpacks while he carts it around evading the police like some sort of barbecue vigilante, grilling on the run. i have never been prouder of him
This tiny Tawny Frogmouth chick arrived at the Wildlife Hospital at only a few days old and needed some expert care to prepare for adulthood without his parents.
The level of dedication Hero has had for getting her other eye back is very relatable to me and it makes me happy. I’m very much a “don’t you dare touch my stuff” person, and if I were her, I would indeed be full of anxiety until I set the universe back in balance. >:[
Also I always love reading people’s reactions on Tumblr. The amount of “LEAVE HER ALONE"s is appreciated. x3E
So proud of Hero for her determination and adorable expression of such! ("It is me and it mine and you can’t have it, creepy!” is my favorite line in anything in awhile lmao) Now I can’t WAIT to see what a proper fit she’s going to throw when she’s overwhelmed with intense anxiety out of nowhere. Me hopes it leads to confronting deeper negative feelings she’s been pushing down. x3c
It IS true that being on here gives you a tumblr accent. This morning my mother asked me something and i replied “i don’t know i’ve never heard these words in that order” and she nearly choked laughing. It wasn’t even that funny
at my old job i had a coworker who was tired and made a coffee with like 6 or 8 shots of espresso and i just casually went up to them like “are you trying to meet god?” and not only was this absolutely hilarious to them but they brought it up in future conversations they thought it was so funny but to me this was just as casual as saying “woah that’s a lot of coffee”
Being funny on Tumblr and then going to be funny in real life is like traveling to a foreign country and baby the currency exchange rate is biased in your favor
One time I asked my coworker if she knew what a certain word meant and followed with “or are you normal?” and my other coworker was like “That’s how I know you’re on Tumblr.”
At the end of my no-sleep double work day I ran into a coworker who asked how I was doing, and I replied “I’ve been awake now for over thirty hours and I’m starting to see shrimp colors” and he was like “um….that’s not good” which to be fair it wasn’t but I think the shrimp part was particularly distressing to him because I don’t normally talk as if I’m actively hallucinating
silverstaked has literally sent my friend exorcisms before. nothing strong enough to send them back to hell but theyve been weakened for days because of it. block and report.

Commissioned by the city of Hainesport (NJ), Big Rusty is made from 100 square meters of rusty metal roof, a plywood attic, different electrical equipment, a concrete wall, and wood. It was the first troll of Way of the Bird King, built in June 2023.
I deeply admire people who can do such incredible things with their hands. I only wish this was closer to me so I could see her more often.
