Galeium Architecture

(Page Under construction)

Architecture on Galeium are based around utility. Mostly laboratory bases, portal centers, containment areas, data centers and schools for newer Sedata. On other planets, secret bases are set up. Sometimes houses are built as well, but only on other planets where housing is common. It is used for fitting in, but some Sedata seem to also use it as shelter for those in need or as a method of self expression.

Galeium Planetary Specifications

Galeium is a planet in the Nevyl Solar System orbiting the blue supergiant sun Halthyon 543-6b-12. It is the 5th planet in its respective solar system. It orbits far beyond the habitable zone of its sun and is in the coldest outskirts of the system. It has 4 moons; Zayan, Halon, Vurton, and Zoktar. This planet is a gas giant with a constant intense electrical storm occurring, traces of raw metals and other materials can be found scattered across the planet, eternally floating in place due to the intense magnetism of the environment. This phenomenon has caused floating islands to form on the planet in random locations, eternally suspended by magnetic and electric forces.

Prismatic Storm

Prismatic Storm is the current leader of Storm Clan, a hard to break leader who was mentored alongside Chromatic Storm by Frostbitten Storm. Prismatic does her best for everyone around her, and is able to keep a steady order. Never wanting to let anyone down, she has always lent out a hand for anyone in need, keeping true to the Sedata moral code.

Prismatic and Chromatic had carried out missions together during their lifetime, until they came across a planet where recovery was slim. Something eldritch was corrupting the planet and the two had struggled against it, nothing worked but Prismatic kept holding out hope. However Chromatic did not, and he felt that it was necessary to destroy the planet as there was no hope for it left. Prismatic had no choice but to stop Chromatic from destroying the planet by fighting him. Desperate times called for desperate measures, and in order to preserve hope, she had to split Chromatic. It seems that after that, she changed to a new, beastlike form to never remind herself of the event and had Chromatic’s halves sealed for some time to figure out what to do next. She carries a guilt, sometimes she believes that she is a monster, hence the form she takes. Despite everything, her ambitions and leadership stand unwavering.

Storm

This is the first Sedata known to exist on Galeium. However, their whereabouts are unknown and they have not been seen for millennia. Many theorize where they could be. According to legend, our prefixes and suffixes come from this very being, who was given the name Storm by another alien race. Storm is said to be a benevolent being who taught the rest of the first-wave Sedata the culture that we take part in today.

Chromatic Storm

Chromatic Storm was born alongside Prismatic Storm, an event that is incredibly rare. Because they were created and raised together, they are very much like siblings. Chromatic and Prismatic were guided by a guardian mentor named Frostbitten Storm. The two had carried out missions together for millennia until they came across a planet with an unstoppable threat that grew out of control, consuming everything. Chromatic had come to the conclusion that the planet could not be helped, and it needed to be destroyed entirely in an act of mercy.

Prismatic had disagreed with this, believing there had to have been some way. Chromatic was determined to destroy this planet and attempted to act upon this, causing a fighting to break out. He had nearly succeeded with blasting the planet's core before being met with divided vision into blackness. Chromatic’s core had been split, and his two halves were sealed off away from each other for some time.

Shattered Storm

Shattered Storm is the quiet, other half of Chromatic Storm that has little memory left. He is unable to recall anything other than the memory of Prismatic Storm. Because of his sibling bond with Prismatic, he mimics her design often. Despite having an empathic, gentle and passive nature, he fights tactfully yet brutally when an ally is attacked. He appears to be emotionally numb most of the time, appearing almost dissociative. Even in dire times, he remains calm, allowing him to quickly strategize.

Shattered Storm was originally kept in containment in a facility far from Storm Shard. However, after many invasions leading to him being nearly captured many times, he was let free under the protection of Prismatic Storm and her strong allies.

Storm Shard

Storm Shard is the other half of Chromatic Storm that wills to destroy his other half, as a way to absolve his own guilt. This determination has led to him breaking out of containment to search for his other half. After failure upon failure, he realized he needed help. This led to the creation of the Tempest Council, an army made up of various outlaws and dangerous individuals to rival Storm Clan.

Shard seems to retain much of the memories of Chromatic. Unfortunately due to the split and the conditions leading up to it, his worldview and morals are warped. He is angry and spiteful, but passionate and emotional with a sense of pride. Despite this villainous look, he appears to value his comrades, as he treats them very well.

Frostbitten Storm

Frostbitten Storm is one of the first few Sedata born, making him one of the eldest, as well as one of the appointed educators. He took Prismatic and Chromatic under his aurora-like wing, teaching them what he had learned from working with the original Storm, and eventually grew close with them like a guardian figure.

After the splitting of Chromatic, however, he had disappeared, until he was found with Storm Shard of the Tempest Council. According to logs, he had broken into the containment center holding Shard’s half-core and awakened him. While he is aligned with Shard, it is not out of malice. Frostbitten has an agenda hidden to the rest of the Tempest Council. He does not want a repeat of what happened on the corrupted planet, therefore he hopes to use Shard’s weakened state to his advantage and help steer Shard on the right path before Chromatic reforms.

Chaotic Storm Leaf

Chaotic Storm Leaf is a hybrid Sedata, hailing from an otherworldly planet named Aetherna, now one of the Tempest Council’s higher ups. While incredibly powerful and an excellent combat strategist, he can be incredibly emotional and unstable. At times he is seen looking deadpan as if mentally he isn't there, other times he may be wandering aimlessly.

According to logs, he was a war general in an old clan known as “Leaf Clan”, who were also allied with Storm Clan. He was infected with a condition that irradiated his mind and body. Eventually he was to be cured, but during the recovery process, an invasion had occurred in his hometown. Not being in the right state of mind yet feeling the need to protect his people no matter what, he jumped into action, but his wounds were fatal. Prismatic Storm was summoned and had successfully revived him and he continued his healing process, however things were never the same.Even though his body had recovered, he was suffering from severe amnesia and barely able to speak, one of his old comrades was summoned to help spark his memory. That was supposed to be Chromatic Storm, who wasn’t there. Instead, Shard and Frostbitten went. Shard remembered Chaotic and immediately welcomed him into the Tempest Council, where overtime he was becoming more stable, comfortable and verbal. However, his condition still lingers even in his revived hybrid state. His memories are still a blur, he seems to be in chronic pain.
He serves as the current Commander of Militia for the Tempest Council, with Warstorm as his second-in-command.

Confetti Storm

Confetti Storm is a mysterious Sedata of unknown origin. What is known is that he is a cunning, clever, sinister and most importantly, a powerful Sedata. This earns him a place as one of the four administrators of the Tempest Council. He is adept at making a fool out of everyone who attempts to outpace him.

He is also an entertainer, as he works to put together large events for the Tempest Council. Many are enamored by and respect his niche talent for his shows. He puts much time into exercising his abilities through these shows, which is why he grew to be so strong.

Pelagian Storm

Pelagian Storm is a world-renowned traveler and documentarian. She owns Galeium’s largest data center, and travels other worlds using a flying boat-like ship, apparently inspired from pirates and nautical themes. She is constantly documenting everything noteworthy of each planet she comes across and updating her data center over on Galeium.

Forgestorm

Forgestorm's origins are unclear, completely unknown and untracked in Sedata society for years until the Tempest Council had come to form; where he then appeared and presented himself to prove his worth on their path to take down Storm Clan. His reasonings behind his hatred for Storm Clan are completely unclear, as is his past entirely. He has an exceptional ability for blacksmithing and forging armor, with an ability to find

ore from planets cores and create the hardest metals for his work. His swords and axes could split a core in half on their own, making him immensely feared by Tempest Council underlings as well as a valuable asset for inciting fear in the Tempest Council's enemies. He works as the Tempest Council's secondary Commander of Militia as well as their blacksmith and armorer. His full true form is completely unknown, what lies beneath his helmet has never been shown to anyone. When not fulfilling his Tempest Council duties, he travels to distant planets to be in isolation from the rest of society. What his plans and motives are will remain a mystery for now.

The Sedata, or otherwise known as a "Storm"

The Sedata (Se-day-tuh) is a being exclusive to a planet known as Galeium. They are born from the core of the planet, thus they do not reproduce, or at least by typical means.Sedata are born when the liquid layer of Galeium's core creates, and expels a Sedata core that is sent to one of the floating islands. It is theorized that the life and sentience of a Sedata is granted by a godlike spirit inhibiting Galeium's core, as all planets are said to contain god-spirits within the cores.Their reason for existing is unknown, but their society seems to be heavily shaped on the idea of helping others. They prefer to keep their operations secret from other worlds, as to not cause any potential panic or fear of their existence. They have unique abilities that allow them to achieve this. They create hidden sanctuaries on these worlds that allow them to coordinate. They code-name themselves as "Storms". This name is derived from the first Sedata ever created. It had no name, but was nicknamed "Storm" by other beings due to Sedata's having electrical powers and the ability to influence the weather.

Physical Appearance

When a Sedata is born, their first form is usually a sphere to guard the core, along an eye or multiple eyes, and wings. However, overtime all forms will vary wildly based on their personal preferences. Few things limit their appearances. In their own world, they take their own forms, while in other worlds they will shapeshift to better suit their environment.

One common thing they share are similar color palettes and a pair of wings of any shape. These wings can't directly be removed, but can be conveniently hidden when in a shapeshift. They don't need the wings to fly exactly, as they can levitate at will. Their wings are surprisingly sturdy and can be used to block or deflect attacks or to shield the Sedata. It is said that their wings are inspired from angelic, draconian, or other types of beings that were seen.Under normal circumstances, Sedatas are restricted to a combination of specific color palettes, unless there is a mutation.

Cores & HIDs

Sedatas are not organic beings by any means, instead they are more-so sentient data. Their bodies are a physical projection of energy from a core located inside of their body.

This core contains everything that is the Sedata. Upon creation, they are given a random set of values that determine their color palette, core shape, energy color, and a set of immutable personality traits. These values are known as HIDs (Hidden Identifiers).

Color Code Mutations

There are many conditions that can affect Sedata code, thus its actions and appearance. For one, sometimes colors may randomly mutate during the creation process, and part of the Sedata's body will be a color that is off the palette. This condition is harmless. This condition is fairly common. However, it is considered a mutation because the original color palette is listed within the Sedata's code. Color mutations occur when one of the colors listed is clearly glitched, giving the Sedata a random unexpected color upon creation.

Data Overwrite

More harmful conditions may come from damage to the core, or outside tinkering and editing of the core's data. There is an outlawed practice known as an "overwrite", where one can edit themselves to remove their own imperfections, which done improperly can cause corruption. A more insidious use of overwriting is to potentially clone themselves by taking another Sedata and overwriting their data with their own by using a back-up set of data. As a result, the overwritten Sedata now has the same color palette, personality, and memories as another Sedata. This practice was generally frowned upon on top of unsafe or outright malicious tendencies, thus it is a strictly banned practice.

Data Corruption

Corruption can come as a result of damage to the core itself, improper tinkering of core data, or being exposed to corrupted data. Symptoms can be sudden, or start slowly and worsen over time depending on the damage.Corruption of a Sedata can be cured simply by using a back-up, but if it is left untreated, it can cause some very unwanted side effects. Some parts of the Sedata's body may discolor or disappear. The Sedata may display unusual or bizarre, nonsensical behavior. This worsens until the Sedata is a jumbled mess, physically and mentally. If a back-up is unavailable, the Sedata will continue to suffer endlessly until the core is destroyed, which does the same to the Sedata.Corruption is taken very seriously and handled with extreme caution, as it can potentially spread to other Sedata if contact is made with it.

Splitting

Splitting occurs when the core of a Sedata is cut in half. Splitting can only occur once. If a split Sedata is split again, the core will explode, destroying that half of the Sedata. When a split occurs, the core's nucleus will attempt to preserve itself by halving itself. This will cause personality sets, memories, strength, and wing count to halve.A split can be reversed if the cores of Sedata make contact.

Abilities

Sedata have the ability to discharge electricity, and it has its many utilities. From basic attacks to sending data to other Sedata, or install themselves into other machines. Installation involves uploading the Sedata's consciousness to a cyberspace, therefore in the real world it is unconscious until it leaves the cyberspace.
A difficult skill to use, but if done proper and with some luck, they can even resuscitate organic beings after they take mortal damage. A side effect, however, is that the organic's DNA will change to gain a few of the abilities of a Sedata, specifically electrical magic and a greatly extended lifespan. Uniquely, organic Sedata are able to pass on these abilities via their genetics.
Sedata also have the ability to learn magics, like any other living being. They can mix these magics with their own abilities. This helps them blend in with their surroundings.Lastly, Sedata's have the ability to somewhat influence the weather. It seems that when there is a large number of Sedata in one place, rain, thunderstorms and fog may appear. The Sedata are not able to control this, unless specific magic is learned.
