The name's Volunyx! I'm a self-taught traditional and digital artist, animator, and writer from the US! I've been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil and love getting to continue growing as an artist.Some hobbies of mine I do in my free time include drawing (clearly), reading, playing video games, and more. I also play sports, love to sing and listen to music, travel, and spend time with friends and family.I'm currently pursuing a lifelong dream of becoming an exotic veterinarian and part-time/hobbyist artist. I'm an animal-lover at heart, and when it comes to artistic abilities, it's what I specialize in! I enjoy video games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon, and FNaF, which are other things I specialize in art as well!I'm quite a creative and imaginative person, and love storytelling, so I thought, why not write a story of my own? As a hobbyist writer, I'm progressing on my story called "Overtaking Darkness" about my Sonic OCs. Along with learning animation, I aim to bring these characters to life through art, animation, and writing all together!Well, that about sums it up for me. WILL DRAW

  • Animals (feral, anthro, creatures, etc.)

  • Fandom OCs (Sonic, Pokémon, MLP, etc.)

  • Mild Gore (blood, wounds/injuries)

  • Machinery (depends on complexity)

  • Humans (experimental, I'll be very picky with this one)

WILL NOT DRAW

  • NSFW (this includes racism, sexual, pedophilia, etc.)

  • Anime/Mecha/Gacha Life, etc.

  • Self-harm/Venting topics

  • Adaptations of other artist styles

  • Ship art (canon, OCs, etc.)

  • Anything I'm not comfortable with drawing

GENERAL TERMS

  • I have the right to decline your commission. Any reason that I see as an issue will not be accepted.

  • Any negative or disrespectful behavior will result in a cancelation of the commission.

  • Please provide a good reference for the desired character(s). No word descriptions or requests!

  • I have the right to share a watermarked version of any commissioned work for promotional purposes. If you don't wish for your work to be posted (for a valid reason), please let me know before the commission is completed.

  • I have the right to update/make changes to my Terms of Service and prices if I desire to. If I happen to change it during a commission, the changes will not apply to that commissioned piece.

  • Limit of 3 seperate pieces of artwork per commission. Although, depending on types of commissions asked for, I can do more or less than the limit. (For example, if you ask for 5 headshot sketches, I can accept that due to their small size and workload. But if you ask for 5 full-rendered scenes, it will be declined/cut down.)

  • You can use your commission for any personal use you want (avatars/icons/profile pictures, wallpapers, etc.) as long as it isn't for commercial use or you claim you created the artwork.

PAYMENT

  • I will only accept payment through PayPal (in USD).

  • Payment will be made after I have created a few concept sketches. Once you are satisfied with one, the full payment will be made.

  • If a cancelation of a commission is made, I will refund for the stages of art I haven't started yet. (For example, if I have done the sketch and lineart, and a cancelation is made, I will refund 60% of the original payment.)

MY PROCESS

  • The stages of art I progress through are concept/sketching, lining, coloring, rendering, and finishing/details. Each one is about 20% of the process.

  • I will give updates through DM/email with Work In Progress (WIP) screenshots. Any requests for changes/revisions can be made during this time, as long as the change isn't big. Please try to be clear in instruction with revisions to avoid a large number of them.

  • Time frame for any given commission can take at a maximum up to a few months, due to personal matters, complexity, etc. I will give a timeframe I believe I can get it done within, but that is always subject to change. I will always try to complete it within a week to a month (as quickly as possible), but will contact you regarding any issues that come up.
