[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Chasing Wind, Unparalleled Innocence

UI: Wiiiiinnnndd

UI: I can't believe you kept such a juicy secret from me! And after all the quality gossip I sent you! >:(

CW: Innocence, I greatly care for Pebbles and Sliver. They're my oldest friends, and I'd rather die than betray them

CW: I understand you more than likely don't have a similar relationship with anyone, as you're much younger than me, but I don't go and tell others secrets I'm entrusted with unless it's for the safety of someone. Do I make myself clear?

Eating a whole tray of weed brownies has opened my eyes to my wrong doings my wrong doings are thinking that i am a man.

i think i am transgender

FP: I mean, being a man isn't really wrong but you're very valid. It takes a lot of confidence to decide your identity, and more so to come out...

FP: I haven't even actually come out, I just let people assume...

Five Pebbles freezes and awkwardly becomes quiet, looking off to the side and hopefully not bringing to attention what he said. Thankfully Sliver had gone ahead to looks for a shelter while Nightcat already knows what Pebbles is talking about and gently headbutts him

I ate a whole tray of edibles and laid face down for days. Unfortunately for you I'm back

FP: Well, you've certainly missed a LOT dude. Have fun catching up-

SOS: Oh! Pebs is that your new boooyyyfrieeendd?

Sliver gave Pebbles a smug, teasing smile which he returned with a sigh and playful push

FP: No, I don't even know his name or anything and you know that!

[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Five Pebbles, Unparalleled Innocence

UI: Pebbies!! Winds said you've seen the other side? Question! Question!!

UI: What's this??

(247 Images Attached, they are all extremely fuzzy with visual corruption everywhere, but it's clear they were taken by various probes, or rather, purposed organisms, that Innocence must've dropped into the void. The majority of images show nothing more that unpatterned black and gold, however the images Innocence marked as important depict faint, barely intelligible, snippets of the collosal annelids guarding the Void's edge).

FP: Please don't call me that, only Sliver is allowed to call me that

FP: Let me see...

FP: Most of these are just the empty Void Sea, any living things in the Void Sea live further down than you'd manage to get images of with any purposed organisms. The others though are very poor images of Guardians, beings who stand in the areas of land near the sea and protect it. I'm not quite sure why they exist, but I believe they try to stop anyone/thing from actually getting into the Void Sea if they don't have maximum karma. Probably as a way to prevent the creation of Echos, as they've been a danger since before the Ancients existed

(Several images are attached of various, much clearer, pictures of the creatures in and around the Void Sea. Guardians standing almost dormant, and another much blurrier picture of one trying to kill an unknown (long extinct) creature. There are also images of the Void Worms and beings similar to Pebbles' goo form of different shapes (humanoid, animalistic, etc))

[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Sliver of Straws, Unparalleled Innocence

UI: Hey, new bestie!~

(File Attached, it contains a copy of the board game Moon developed alongside Sliver of Straws for her local group so, so, long ago)

SOS: Hello! You're the one that shared images of Pebbles' rot online yes? As much as I'd like to give you a piece of my mind, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt since I don't personally know you

SOS: Just know you're on thin ice, "bestie"

(File attached, Sliver has started the board game)

SRS: Yes, I'll pass along the message.

SRS: Oh..

(1 image attached, it depicts the small arachnid slugcat flipping off the camera)

SRS: Well, did you know their favorite food is dropwig?

SRS: Jokes aside, I should probably give you a heads up about that before you plan any visits. Pun not intended.

FP: Honestly I don't blame them, if someone ripped something out of my chest I would be mad as well. But I will! I plan too anyways as it'd be rude to just suddenly appear out of nowhere. Not that I can really do that with the whole puppet, plus I don't know how well void liquid agrees with metal

[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Five Pebbles, Seven Red Suns

SRS: Hah, listen to yourself. I never could've imagined the Five Pebbles I knew looking up to a supposed "lesser being." It was always obvious that our creators hurt you. I, like the rest, assumed you simply took their betrayal the hardest. It's frankly terrifying to think that they'd do so much to their "prized saviors."

SRS: And yes, I would love nothing more than to get off this damn chord, travel alongside my little Spearmaster, and see your city.

SRS: It's a relief, no longer being bound to that problem. I truly cannot see a way past ascension that lacks the preliminary requirements of bypassing the self destruction taboo. And I believe the global iterator populace is high past ready to relieved of such a duty. I've been discussing things with some of our old Sliverist colleagues, and I think we've all reached similar conclusions.

SRS: And it's not just the sudden return of Sliver of Straws or the truth of your existence that lead to my conclusion. Seeing my messenger hurt, not knowing if they'd make it home. It gave me a new appreciation for life. Due to the nature of the cycle, it was inevitable that they would find their way to me, should they put their mind to it. But, with the temporary lockdown and the inability to monitor the situation, I was so terrified that they might take the Old Path. And, I suppose with that train of thought, I began to realize that it wasn't truly ascension that I was after. I simply wanted an escape from the slowly decaying purgatory that our parents shunted us to.

SRS: Which relates to a request I'd like to make. As you recall, every iterator structure contains passages leading directly to the Void Sea. Though it is rare, creatures do stumble down there, and some will even commit successful ascensions. And I perhaps feel some guilt towards directing more than a few down that path myself. Thus, when the time comes, I would like to seal the Old Paths, and it would bring me no greater joy than to do so alongside you.

FP: I lost my status as any sort of savior as soon as I agreed to be a test subject, or perhaps it was when they learned just how much I hated the Void Sea

FP: I'm hoping Sliver's message is actually seen by others, if anything we could probably share them to the Sliverist chats so they can know and perhaps share to others.

FP: I'd be honored to do that with you Suns, truly there is no need for all the passages, especially with them being unguarded. In my city, there was a large Void pool that connected to the Void Sea, but it always had at least someone watching over it and guarding it so no one did anything drastic. It mostly existed for me, especially before I became an iterator as I wasn't used to being out side of the sea all the time. Also, please let Spearmaster know I'm very sorry for injuring them, I know it isn't a proper apology but I plan on giving them a proper one when I see you two if they'll allow me

[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Five Pebbles, Seven Red Suns

SRS: Hello, Five Pebbles. I wanted to apologize once again for sending you that data pearl.

SRS: With all that's come to light as of recent, it feels rather silly to have spoken in all those groupchats. Hiding under masks and seeking absolution.

SRS: Silly how we were trying to die over someone who was never truly dead. Silly how we wasted so much time searching for a solution that we knew couldn't exist. Silly how, knowing what you are now, you once looked up to me.

SRS: Thinking back on on it, I can't help but wonder if some part of you remembered Sliver of Straws and sought to chase her into the void.

SRS: I've been talking back and forther with her. And now knowing what happened, all of our work seems so so insignificant.

SRS: And I also wanted to apologize for my failings to communicate with you until now. I suppose I was just at a loss on what to do after you lashed out at my messenger. I was scared that my words could hurt you. More than they already have, that is.

SRS: But somehow, despite all of that, you seem to be doing better than you have in a long time! I could have never imagined that things could look up after your… unfortunate development.

SRS: I've missed you, Pebbles, and I am so, so, sorry for my failings to you.

SRS: But there's something else I've been contemplating, and I'd like your input. If life can exist even within the void, does that not make our very purpose null? And now Wind speaks of freeing us from our cans.

SRS: It's been so long since I've felt this warmth radiating through my very core, that I'd forgotten the numbness in its abscence.

SRS: I don't believe I've felt this kind of hope in a long, long, time.

FP: I don't hold it against you Suns, we were both simply seeking solutions we didn't truly need. I can say now with my memories returned, ascension truly never was the answer, nor ever will be. It's simply a means to an unneeded end, the void offers nothing but loneliness and emptiness

FP: I still look up to you, I always will. I may be something else, but I still look up to those who would technically be "lesser" than me, and I don't see you or any of the others as less than me. You're one of my best friends and I'm so happy to talk to you again, you're not at the only one at fault since I shut you and everyone else out after almost killing Moon...

FP: I think iterators are much more than their purpose, you're all people with your own feelings, dreams, and more. I understand how earth shattering the nullification of your purpose probably is, but I want to suggest to everyone to free yourselves from your cans. I'd love to bring you to see my old city, I know my followers would love you and I hope you'd love it! It's full of history and beauty...

Five Pebbles was trying not to visibly smile, thankful his puppet couldn't blush as he tried to keep from rambling at poor Suns

NSH: Wow, the Pebbles I knew would never take that apology so easily~

NSH: Oh just to be clear, I was teasing Suns, not Moonie~

SRS: What did I do??

FP: Normally I wouldn't, but I'm too tired to care right now and I know you were just worried about me

CW: And you definitely haven't noticed it Pebbles, but whatever personality limits they put on you when they rebuilt you made you a lot more uncaring, and much less anxious. Honestly was worried you were just bottling everything up and hiding it better than you actually do

FP: I don't know, but I know they made me not know what mental illness was. Which sucked since I love the topic, and also sort of needed to know it since I'm very mentally ill

NSH: I'm sorry, what?? Moon, are you getting any of this?

LTTM: It has been a long day, Sig. I think it may be best if we allow ourselves time to process this information.

LTTM: Before their disappearances, Sliver of Straws and Grey Winds were my seniors. I trust their judgement, and I would encourage everyone to get to know them.

UI: Well, that's easy! Wind and I are already besties~

SRS: I cannot imagine the pain we have caused him, shouting over one another. While I cannot say I fully understand how it is possible to be born of the void, I want nothing more than to assure his safety and wellbeing.

NSH: And you aren't jelly that Sliver gets him all to herself~

SRS: ...

SRS: I will pretend I did not hear that, Harassment.

NSH: Okay, okay, whatever. Remind me to apologize once that doofus gets back. I'm already regretting some of my more... choice words with him.

LTTM: Do I even want to know what you said?

NSH: Probably not~

CW: I'm still the same person I was, I'm just older than you secretly. Pebbles is essentially a god to the Ancients, hence why he has followers. None of us know how well known he was outside of his people and some of Sliver's

SOS: Also there's no need for Moon to be jealous, Pebbles sees Moon as an older sister still despite the fact he's actually the older one. Plus he's secretly very clingy and will definitely be visiting you all in person, or making you get mobile puppets. Wind has already begun making one, also I'll check him over once he's done having goo time Wind

The blob "looks" at Sig

FP: I can still hear you, I may be outside of my puppet but I can still access my processes if I'm on it. Apology accepted, I know this is all very stressful and I apologize too. Also Sliver why do you have to call it goo time...

Pebbles finally re-enters his puppet, taking a moment to lay on the ground as everything boots up before sitting up and stretching

FP: Ta da, I'm all better now

*the lizard munches on the batfly happily, completely oblivious to the argument between gods that just went down in front of it.*

Sliver smiles at the little guy, petting it gently. The bushes rustle before Pebbles the goo blob appears, slithering over to the group and laying on top of his puppet

SOS: Welcome back goo boy, feeling better?

FP: Yes... Forgot how nice the sun feels...

Pebbles is quiet, seemingly basking in the sun and making no move to return inside of his puppet. Nightcat goes to groom him before making a face upon licking him, making Sliver laugh

SOS: He doesn't taste good? I'm not surprised. Are you going to go back inside soon Pebs?

FP: In a minute... Warm...

*The lizard chirps incessantly at SOS, confused, scared, and still hungry*

Sliver perked up and pet the lizard gently

SOS: Oh! Sorry, little guy, here I'll feed you. Nightcat, sweetheart, can you hand me one of those batflies

Nightcat nodded and gave Sliver one of the batflies he caught and handed it to Sliver. Sliver held the batfly in front of the little lizard and wiggled it to tempt it to eat it

[PRIVATE BROADCAST] - Looks to the Moon, Sliver of Straws

LTTM: I see. And, I must apologize for causing so much trouble. I truly did not wish to overwhelm him or insult you.

LTTM: My memories are not what they used to be; it may be for the best if you explain the situation to the others, as they have even less context than I do. I'm sure Sig is giving Pebbles grief as we speak.

LTTM: All that aside, it's good to have you back, Sis.

SOS: Of course, I'll gladly do so, and as much as I'd love to give Sig a piece of my mind since he's the one who ultimately made Pebbles run off, I won't.

Sliver smiled happily

SOS: I feel the same Moon, I'm so happy to be back

Sliver turned to everyone, trying to get their attention

SOS: Alright everyone, I know at least some of you are way out of the loop at the moment, so I'm going to explain everything as best as I can without getting too confusing, hopefully. Wind, please help me fill in any blanks I might make

CW: Of course, plus you tend to go on long tangents at times

SOS: Shut it, Wind. Anyways, hello, I'm Sliver of Straw. I didn't actually die, I made a mobile puppet based off Pebbles' original puppet and faked my death as the head Ancients didn't like my beliefs on ascension. So I faked ascension so they wouldn't suspect I tried to copy what Pebbles had originally attempted to do. I had to go into hiding to avoid the Ancients and then continue to hide for Pebbles sake. He would've essentially violently blown up if I showed myself to him before he regained his memories

SOS: Pebbles was a first-generation iterator experiment. The Ancients wanted to see what would happen if they used an already existing sentient being as a core for an iterator instead of making a whole new sentient being like the rest of it. Pebbles was a being from the Void Sea known by his followers as the Seer. He volunteered to be the test subject, trusting the Ancients to respect him and his wishes if he decided he didn't want to continue

SOS: He became the iterator of the city his followers lived in. His existence was heavily guarded, Wind and I only knew of him as we were his local group and were told we couldn't tell anyone else. Pebbles was dubbed Five Pebbles and given a prototype mobile puppet made just for him as he refused to be kept in one room like the rest of us since he preferred the freedom. Over time, Pebbles grew bored of the experiment and asked to finish. Unfortunately, the head Ancients didn't want to give up a "very valuable" resource. Pebbles' followers attempted to sever the ties his puppet had but failed. This ended up in the head Ancients decommissioning Pebbles and later repurposing him into the Pebbles you all know and love, with his memories of his past corrupted and locked away so he'd think he was simply a normal iterator

CW: That's about it for Pebbles, as you've experienced the rest. I would like to note that Pebbles isn't the only iterator to be repurposed. I was originally Grey Wind, but between the times of Pebbles' death and Sliver's "death," I had to be decommissioned as the land I was built on was very unstable. I was repurposed and rebuilt into your local group as Chasing Wind. Sliver came to live in my can with me while occasionally returning to Pebbles' old city where his followers still live still. Pebbles is coming to my can so Sliver and I can check to make sure he built his puppet correctly, though Sliver can do that now, I suppose once Pebbles returns. He and Sliver are going to visit Moon before leaving to Pebbles' city so he can check on his people, and then he may stay for a little while but will probably end up returning to the area of our local group later on

SOS: He definitely will. He never likes staying in one spot for long when he can explore instead. Apparently, Void Beings don't get to see much of the surface from in the Void Sea. Oh, and before I forget, Pebbles and I are platonic partners. It's like dating, but friends, if that makes sense?
