have you ever thought about house swap aus? gideon and harrow in third, ianthe and corona in ninth, or etc. could be a drawing request for your take on this or just an ask :3
I can only see harrow working in a rigorous 6th environment and I love the idea of Gideon and harrow working like Pal and Cam.
Harrowhark being interested in Antiquities and lyctors of old. An Abigal Palamades hybrid. And Gideon learning the rapier to be Harrows Cav but choosing to spend most of the time with the longsword.
I also think Jeanmarie and Issac being from the 9th house is interesting with their paranoia machine running.
I have NO IDEA where anyone else would fit, maybe Corona and Ianthe being 7th? Judith and Marta being 8??

okay then who do you think ninth house would be? gerry (for the aesthetic because i'm shallow and i think it would be funny to see him covered in bones + mommy issues work well enough with the pressure to be the best necromancer) and gertrude (something something i love both her and aiglamene and they're similar enough for me to type this out + gerry/gertrude dynamic)?

I think Jon would work better as the 6th house warden!! The relentless pursuit of knowledge just really pairs nicely in my opinion. Also I love the idea of Sasha filling Cams role in the duo

@theclosetskeletons see I have to disagree with you! I don’t think it makes sense for it to be Aiglamene because first of all, I think it would be weird for her to break the flow of the between of Gideon and Crux. But also, it’s just doesn’t make sense for her character. The so angry your voice sounds completely different long tirade just isn’t her. She’s a cutting look and one word refusal.
Also getting into the phrase “it’s all any of you knew how to give her” aiglamene is one of them, truly of the 9th unlike Gideon who isn’t one of them.
To me it seems more of Gideon reacting to Crux saying he’s the only one who knows how to die for Harrowhark. This is gideons final act, truly proving her devotion to Harrowhark at any cost, and crux dismisses it. It reads like Gideon also getting away from herself until she stumbles onto the point. I don’t think that it’s self reflective initially.
Also last point, Moira Quirk, the love of my life, makes a lot of mistakes in the last chapter. The final scene is truly unlistenable because nothing is matched correctly. So I don’t think it’s hard to posit she also got this wrong too
