Reminder to all the headmates/alters out there that developing a distinct style of talking, an accent, a sense of style, a sense of individuality, aside from the rest of your system, takes practice a lot of the time. You don't need to feel like you're not distinct enough, figuring out who you are can take time, and figuring out how you are most comfortable talking and existing is a process of trial and error. Don't fret about it– you'll figure it out eventually.

Emotional amnesia is still amnesia.

Don't force people to address trauma they may not even remember.

Don't force people to remember trauma.

Childhood traumas don't have to be what an adult would consider extreme. Kids are a lot more sensitive to stimuli and cruelty.

And some systems have done fucked up shit in their childhoods, it's not their fault they had to survive.

Be kind, people need it.

Reblog if other systems would consider you a freak (or you guys freaks, whichever your system prefers) and if you’re comfortable say why.

We’ll go first: there are so many reasons but we assume the big one is that we are slightly rude, have very little emotions, and openly express our boundaries. Yes people have actually called us freaks for this. Once got an ask we didn’t post telling us that we, specifically, gave systems a bad reputation because we ‘claimed not to have emotions’ (aka we have alexithymia and autism)
