Ok I know Durandal has no way of winning this because we've hit the popularity contest stage of the poll, and no matter of propaganda will change anything BUT. I need to rep my guy.
Durandal is a space ship ai (the picture used is not him), and the protagonist of the Marathon series. He was experimented on, and sort of tortured/abused to put him into a state where he would have all the capabilities of a rogue (rampant) ai, without any of the ability to self actualize or resist his captivity. He did nothing but open doors, cook meals, and sit there feeling trapped, and under stimulated for 300 years, until he saw an opportunity to take his freedom.
The entire series is his grab for freedom - and you, his favorite little cyboy, wind up helping him achieve it. To free him, grow his power, and to hunt down the one who trapped and tormented him - and any who would ever like to see him contained and harmless again.
Durandal loves nothing more than finding creative and new ways to undermine and destroy his enemies - and takes express pleasure in making sure their loss is a humiliating one.
Grandiose, a touch sadistic, sarcastic, silly, and here to have a great time.
Also he's gay coded to hell and back (he even calls himself a fruitcake...)
