Once there were the angels : dimensional walkers who use the material of their home star to travel and grant blessings to others.

But the material was also craved by an entity and carrying around too much risked being "touched" by it.
Touched angels would become afflicted - often much more mischievous, elusive, and permanently grounded to the last planet they had traveled to.

They became what is now known as the Komaruhoyo.
