The archipelago and the empire that spans eight of its nine islands is centered on the island of Iksaltar and its capital city of Zeniche. The emperor, chosen by a divine lottery of all citizens, stays out of politics secluded in the imperial palace to the south while the governors council makes the real decisions. As no one has yet successfully navigated the ocean expanse, the nine islands are the entire known world for its inhabitants.
