In a certain very large city in the North-Atlantic region of the United States, the Artemis Lounge is a rather upscale, glitzy lounge that also happens to be used by a certain group of people for a certain reason. Located in the high-class, executive neighborhood of the city, this Lounge has been a symbol of glamor for decades- despites its rumored connections to organized crime. It is owned by Mr. Richard Anatolli, a wealthy old businessman who has gotten involved in other 'business' over the years. He also owns a small casino, but the Lounge is his first and most notable property. The lounge has three levels- the top floor with ornate sitting rooms, a small restaurant and the actual lounge area, the ground floor with a bar and entertainment stage, and the basement and garage where only gang members are permitted. The establishment is located in the wealthy but older part of the city and started as a speakeasy during prohibition to be renovated with an eye on old-Hollywood era glamor and class in the 1950’s. These two time periods are the greatest influence on the establishment’s actual look, though it had been renovated with state-of-the-art technology and has a plethora of escape hatches and secret tunnels leading to places around the city and Anatolli’s other properties.
The lounge itself is the hotspot for his gang- an eclectic group ranging from contract killers to just kids with nothing else to do- and the source of the gang's name itself. The Artemis Lounge Gang (ALG or simply Lounge Gang, as some of the younger members refer to it) is a blend of old-school crime family ways a modern cartel/ narcotics circle methods. The gang deals in smuggling hard drugs, illegal black market items, taking out people for a price, and pretty much anything they can get paid to do.
Mr. Anatolli (The Boss)
Mr. Richard Anatolli is hardly ever seen by those in his employ, and mainly 'talks' through a series of second and third hands. He's rumored to be absolutely terrifying, though most that have seen him say he's rather old. Rumor has it he made his money selling nuke codes to the Soviet Union and weapons to the Viet-Kong in the cold war. His money pays a handsome salary, though, if you're willing to do some bad, bad things.
Damon Valentino (Bookie + Second Hand Man)
While Damon is one of the few people who talks to Anatolli and will relay his instructions to the other gang members, his job is technically to enforce the gang's prospects and keep secrets. By any means necessary- he's very good with a crowbar. His cover as an art critic makes him fly over most’s radar, but his sadism is a dead tell to most that have seen him “working”. He lacks a codename for reasons unknown, but people call him The Lieutenant (sarcastically) behind his back.
Sharky (Body Disposal)
Once the work is done on any of the gang's enemies, there is cleanup that often needs to happen. The messiest parts are brought to Sharky, though no one knows what he does with them... but Sharky does sure get the job done. After he’s done with a body, no one can find any trace at all. Which is a very good thing, since sometimes the gang's activities get a little bit out of hand.
Viper Rai-Sharma (Get-Away Driver)
Viper's good for three things- running errands, street fights, and driving fast. She's reckless, but she'll get you from point A to B and lose anyone that might be on your tail. She is Anatolli's go-to driver and it is widly suspected that she's actually his favorite, and that's the only reason she's seen as relatively important. She’s good at people and will strike a conversation up with most anyone, but there is a cruelty under her friendliness.
Cosette Hatahle (Crooked Detective)
A consulting detective who got her job through a charmed connection paired with a fixation on the ‘finer things’ makes Cosette an asset on Anatolli’s payroll. She’s more than willing to look the other way- for the right amount. She is even often a patron of the Lounge itself, though when she is there on buisness, she usually goes by the code-name 'Hera'.
Anna Yefremova (Hacker)
Anna is a foreign exchange student and insanely talented hacker that sometimes helps the gang out with money wiring and getting information. She is sometimes brought along for errands and seems to greatly enjoy the 'rush' of this sort of thing. Has built a certain AI to keep her company at home and safeguard her data.
Carlisle (Black Mailer + Occasional Bookie)
Charlie Carlisle, more often referred to simply as Carlisle or encoded as 'Charlemagne', was once a very wealthy young man from a distinguished family. Something happened, and now he's washed up and a bit desperate. So he's more than happy to get the gang anything they might need, and isn't above getting his hands a bit dirty himself. In fact, he seems to enjoy it a bit. He's especially fond of a sawed-off shotgun for a weapon.
Finnegan Darlington (Contract Killer + Barkeeper)
WIP. The Darlingtons are contract killers, but they're also very... theatrical. Codenames include Spring-Heeled Jack and Mr. Hyde. Also the Lounge's go-to bartender... at least when he can be bothered to be around.
Chloe Darlington (Contract Killer)

Darius Sayyid (???)

Kaseem Hajjar (Scout + Fraudster)
Kas isn't too rough or thug-like, so he's used to gather information from rival gangs. He's persuasive and witty, and usually can find info from loose-lipped rivals. He's very over the top with his charades though and seems to enjoy slipping into other personalities and personas. However, he recently got in a bit of trouble for owing some members some money, and though it's all been sorted out, his position of power in the gang was lowered. As a result, he isn’t too important in the overall pecking order now, so some other members feel that he is grossly overpaid. His current codename is Ozymandias, but people just mainly call him Kas.

Vince Pacheco-Agular (Muscle + Item Mover)
Vince is an associate of Carlisle's from back in the day, and he's been absorbed into the Lounge Gang as a result. Vince's primary job is to move shipments of drugs (and other black market items) for the gang, and to give it out to their patrons that don't come up to the city and buy it themselves. He's also good at compartmentalizing pretty hard-core violence, and he's often brought along for intimidation factor. His codename is Xolotl.
