Despite The English Commonwealth's insistence that it holds the title, Versailles is the hub of Tartarusian culture.
Sure, the Commonwealth does have NLR-101, but almost all of the music it plays comes from a Versaillian artist. Many of the grand paintings hanging on the walls of the Gang Lord's castles were made by Versaillian painters and a great majority of the great post-Reckoning buildings were designed by Versaillian architects. Pre-Reckoning culture still has it's followers here, who appreciate and appropriate the old ways from a respectful distance.
It seems that their national love of the arts hasn't saved them from the threat of Littlehorn, however. It was carved out of the side of the territory, but it seems that simply wasn't enough- if nothing changes, Versailles will be completely consumed by Lord Razor's army.
