What is an Amorapuff?

Healing the cracks of sadness

Amorapuffs are essentially a healing familiar, the solution of the great caring Goddess Lalasa, to help cure the planet of sadness and grief. These are helper creatures attached with a strong bond to their owners that tie to their own life force through items of their own cherishment. If you're here for all the details of how all these ornate intricate creatures are made, or what makes them what they are you have come to the right place. Without further ado, the amorapuff run down.

While Amorapuffs do live in the land of Aermerea, on the isle, and on the ground, most wandering Amora's live on the isle of Iyashi or Iyashino shima. Its a secluded large island with some smaller islands outlying it. Here Amorapuffs live in small apartment villages and have a live culture. Their clothing is largely asian, lolita, and victorian based, with some fusions in between. Some more relaxed Amora's have adapted the kawaii styles of Terra (another earth like planet) and other laidback styles of japanese fashion. Their infleunce first came from the books and sketches their goddess Lalasa gave to them, these photo books or scripts coming to infleunce their daily lives and culture. They realy are a quite fashionable bunch, but most importantly they just like to express themselves.

Amorapuffs are very polite and loving, careful and helpful. As such there is no crime or discourse on the island they live on. They have nightly festivals and monthly fireworks, and bi yearly celebrations to show their appreciation to Lalasa. They also of course have some big holidays, Amorapuffs love parties and celebrations! They learn easily and age very slowly. With an owner it is possible to augment their age to be suitable for their owner, within moral reasons. They don't really have an established money system persay... but a lot of them trade and barter on the isles. They do have use of pecunia coins and pecunia petals, as well as sometimes bloompuff fluff, but honestly they like to use the fluff for clothes and other wares. That being said Amorapuff cotton is not currency or removed like Bloompuff fluff so please do not try it. Lalasa sends monthly allowances for the inhabitants of the isle, so no one lives in poverty.

They have many boutiques and stands lining the squares and streets with unique items and clothes, and even stylists to help you find that perfect piece you have been missing for your outfit. Food is decadent on this isle, and always top quality. There is no end to the luxuries you can get here, tea houses, and photo locations abound as well, and photo sharing sites are quite popular as many Amora's like to be trend setters but... the best part is its completly affordable to live in the area and live the Amora lifestyle. Due to this bustling economy though, spaces are few and its hard to get in on a vacancy. Lalasa always makes sure there is room for new Amorapuffs though so the area is constantly growing and developing, giving more oppurtunities for everyone. They even have started making some floating apartments.

Like mentioned above Amorapuffs are fashionable, but at their core they are a helpful species. They are meant to be bonded to an owner or friend, whatever they would like to identify their relationship is fine. Within the first few hours they will form an everlasting bond that puts the Amorapuff in tune with their owner, this bond only grows with the years, helping them sense their emotions to better take care of their companion. You may be wondering how you tell whether your Amorapuff is doing well? As it cares for you, you want to care for it as well right? Well your own self care is part of its care as its tied to your emotions. If you're sad or depressed for too long of a period it can start to affect your Amorapuff too, it can get very ill and die if not remedied. While there is rumour they are a small number of amorapuffs resilient to this kind of thing, it still has yet to be seen or documented.

If you must have a quick know how of how to check your Amora without asking it, take a look at the tail. It's sparkles and puffs should be nicely colored, bright and moving, its tail is powered with a low level magic that just naturally keeps its tail resilient to breakage and its fun little items festive and on the go. Happiness and good emotions is what keeps this magic flowing so you have to keep that in mind when you have one. Amorapuffs are very attached to their owners over time, like a sibling, best friend or even lover depending on your relationship so please keep their health and well being in mind as well as your own. That being said there are ways to pause a bond if you need extra help and care you worry might affect you amora, so just find a clinic and stop in for treatment. These areas are cheery and discreet and everyone's needs are considered and paid attention to. Likewise if your amorapuff gets sick bring them to any clinic for a check up, its possible for the outside world to affect them in a way that they need a little boost too. Amora's are so widespread over the panet you can pretty much find these anywhere, not just exclusively where Bloompuffs and Amorapuffs live. Many areas on the planet also have wellness cafe's and soothing therapy spa's that are low cost and great for a relaxing day. And remember its good for your Amora to socialize with others and go out on its own too. You don't want your amorapuff to develop an attachment syndrome, so good relationship health and boundaries are a must, although some like their amora's super attached, this can lead to odd behaviors though so be cautious. If you treat your Amora really well sometimes its magic randomly gives blessings or magic perks, these are temporary though.

More to the traits of an amorapuff, firstly all Amorapuffs have patterns in their ears, the patterns is a somewhat similar trait to that of their sister species Bloompuffs except, theses patterns are stitched. Some are often delicate and very finely stitched, some are more simple or basic, it all depends. The exception to stitching is winged, fanned, finned ears. Much like bloompuffs as well they bear animal ears of any kind, but if the plushie in their tail is an animal their ears must match the animal, if its a birds their ears are winged, a fish, fan, finned or vieled. Despite being stitched, ears are not plushie but rather feel and look like real animal ears and wings. The stitching only shows in the inner ear and does not show through the ear or reflect on the back of the ear. Some Amorapuffs can decorate their patterns with small embelishments. Inside their ears, instead of flowers, they have different kinds of fluffy cottons. Cottons range from white, cream, colored, multi, wispy, glowy, some even have lace or small little plushes in their ears. This cotton moves with magic and swirls, the magic makes some amorapuffs very shimmery and sparkly. Amorapuffs often shed their cotton but it disappears in the air shortly after it leaves their body. Its pretty much pure magic, and if you tried to touch it your hand would just phase through it and give the amorapuff quite the shiver. Cotton can decrease or increase based on the magic level or power the amorapuff has flowing through it or what it chooses, its pretty much fluid, but plushies can not change shape or size.

All Amorapuffs have wings, there is absolutly no possible way and Amorapuff can not have wings, these help them with transport and moving quickly and fluidly. They also help with escape from dangerous people, originally Amorapuffs only bore angel wings in whites and lighter colors, but among time some have adapted to have darker colors and demonesque type wings. Some very elusive Amora's have wings made of crystals, matter, or other such materials not having to deal with angels or demons. Its rumoured the first ever amorapuff has fabric wings but no one on the island or land has seen her, and even on the floating island its apparently hard to get a peak at her. Regardless it seems not other Amora's have or have had fabric wings since her. Some amorapuffs really love decorating their wings, or even dip dying them, wing dyes and powders are very popular on Iyashino shima.

Amorapuff tails are their life force, and their most treasured trait, they often are very overprotective of their balloons. An amorapuff tail is always decorated with bows and charms these can be changed or shifted with magic potions. Amorapuffs tails are very hard to break but can be easier to break when they are weak from sad or sickness. They typically crack quite a bit before they break, a cracked tail can be repaired if its not too bad. If the tail cracks too much parts of the body might start to crack as well, bigger cracks can lead to magic leakage which puts the Amorapuff at high risk of falling into a coma or dying. Sometimes if the damage is heavily bad they must sleep for a long time for it to repair. Amorapuffs emotions are reflected in their balloons, with some even changing the color of the balloon based on mood. Amora's balloons are like little magical mood snow globes, their main item of creation stays stationary while the other items around it swirl, twirl and shimmer, such as the cotton pieces, confetti, sparkles etc. Most amora's only have the swirly cotton and sparkle shimmers but some have added little items as mentioned before and even things like sprinkles and crystal dust or small crystals can swirl in their tail. Some mythically rumoured Amorapuffs have live weather events in their tail but no one has ever seen one. An amorapuffs tail is always the same size from creation to death, if there is any sort of weird shrinkage its best to get the Amorapuff checked. Its incredibly rare but sometimes happens for unknown reasons. Amorapuff tails come in many styles and types, some have long thin tails, some have their balloons directly connected to them. Balloons come in many shapes and sizes and colors, but commonly the shapes are circle, teardrop, heart and spade. We are still constantly documenting the new shapes and kinds of tails daily, mutated tails are becoming more common by the day. The most elusive amora's have constellations and space events in their tails, they are said to live in the sky deep in an galaxy where they hide. The only place you supposedly can see these constellations is on clear nights in Iyashino shima. But it could just be myth as it seems like Amora's made have made them up to explain these unique constellations, only time will tell.

If you are wondering what kind of items exactly you find in an Amora tail they are most commonly animal plushies, childhood favorites of children, buoys for their turbulent emotions and sometimes one's best friend. But they can also feature beloved dolls, other stuffed items, as well as very rarely meaningful items, such as love letters, dried flowers, things of importance or deep cherishment. These amorapuffs tend to have stronger ties to their companion because of the signifigance of the item. This item is essentially the spirit and soul that crafts your amorapuff to life. Its personality and everything is typically tied to these items and the memories they hold. There are some special unique amora's out there that are actually part doll or part stuffie some of these amora's appeal more to children or collectors these amora's can be more docile cause at times they are considered an incomplete amora, one that did not form properly but they work just all the same.

You may be wondering how one even gets an amorapuff? Well there are several different ways. Sometimes one is just randomly bestowed upon you. Sometimes when a cherished item gets lost or forgotten this prompts Lalasa to bring life to the item if it has a strong enough will. Alternately you can bring items of cherishment to a shrine and pray to Lalasa hoping she will hear your need and bestow upon you and amorapuff. Sometimes a deep wish in your heart will call her to your dreams and you will be given one, sometimes you bump into one of the street and have a connection. Amorapuffs are often made of lost items and might not be able to find their way back to their original owner but they always seem to make the connection with their right person.

Amorapuff's do not reproduce normally, and siblings are rare with amorapuffs. Amorapuff's are created or wished for. So if an amorapuff wanted a child with another amora or other species they would have to bring an offering of great value to Lalasa and pray for a child. This then results in an egg type balloon, a hatchable if you will, the item you gave inside, you then nurture it with love and care until it forms a child amora. Typicall it glows there is a blinding light and then its replaced with a child amorapuff. Be careful though child amora's tails are delicate. Also they don't gain colors until they make bonds with their parents or new companion so typically they are pure white and slowly adapt over a week to a month.

Most Amorapuff's life spans are tied to their companions, this is often because when an Amorapuff's companion dies they become so depsondent and upset they began to fade away. If it is not possible for them to get a new companion and form a bond their life will be over and their purpose is done. Some Amora's make peace with this and gladly take rest by their companions side, others have more of a will to live and want another owner. It is unclear how long they can actually live or if they are semi immortal through the practice of having different owners, they are still quite new so it remains to be seen. Most Amorapuffs look youthful but some are known to be more mature and a handful elderly. It's possible Amorapuffs might outlive even bloompuffs.
