World of Windswept Lands is decaying.

The golden ages are gone, and with them the dense, lush green jungles and lagoons that once stretched across the world thousands years ago. Giant sandstorms carrying shards like daggers ravages the Lands and expand their sandy kingdom, while claiming lives of those who fail to find shelter. Ruins dot the desert landscape and tell ancient stories of growth and glory. The young Speaking Races are on the rise, while the ancient ones slowly walk into the darkness and oblivion of time.

The blood of the world, the magic, is slowly but surely draining. In its place now rules magical corruption, spreading straight from the heart of magical currents, from the legendary, yet destroyed Source. Where corruption bites the land, nothing alive and pure remains.
