Want to make your own Charmie?
Anyone can make a Charmie, as long as you are have read over the About the Species and Rules & Guidelines!
The species is open, meaning that "MYOs" ("make-your-owns") are always open! There is no masterlist and no need to submit your designs for approval.
Keep in mind that moderators may notify you if we spot that your Charmie design doesn't qualify as an official Charmie due to failure to follow the guidelines!
If you need some help designing your Charmie, you are free to commission a custom Charmie design from a moderator who has those commissions open!

This base is completely free to download, distribute, edit, and use as a template to get started designing your Charmie!
Tips are appreciated, but not necessary! More bases may be released in the future.
Design Do's
- follow the species guidelines
- include the required cheek markings
- use official bases or your own lineart
- make Charmies as gifts or trades
- make Charmie versions of pre-existing characters
- make alternate palettes, designs, charms, or deco items
- make the optional charm defined from the rest of the design
- make the Charmie an animal species
- make fan-themed characters for personal use, as long as it isn't a copy/paste
- have fun!!!
Design Don'ts
- base the design heavily off of copyrighted material if you plan to make merchandise for profit
- make a Charmie of another open or closed species
- create Charmies to sell as "adoptables"
- copy someone else's character design
- ignore or go against the species characteristics and guidelines
- forget the cheek markings
- make a humanoid Charmie
- create a hateful, offensive, or culturally appropriative design
