This journal is going to cover everything you need to know about the monthly prompts!
The prompts run for the entirety of the month they are posted in, so submission are accepted any time until the 1st of the following month.
Late submissions aren’t accepted!

How to Submit
- Certain levels of polish are required to get credit for each month’s entry, which will be laid out down below, so please look at the requirements to enter!
- If you are submitting your piece to DA, please title your entry with some kind of reference to the monthly prompt, even if you just add [MP] or something to the front of the title, and submit it to the DA group's monthly prompt folder.
- Even if you submit to DA, please follow the steps below to submit to TH and claim your points, the official point distribution will be done on toyhouse!
- To submit to the Toyhouse world, go to that month's forum post and reply to the thread with: Your username (that you'd like to be listed as on the point database or are already listed as in the database), a link to your entry, and any appropriate credit such as using a friends design with permission, etc. Please also list any warning associated with viewing your work. You can also link to the profile of the design you used for your piece but it isn't required, it's just in case you'd like people to know more about them!
- Someone will comment on your entry once the points have been properly awarded to your point bank total!
- If there is a problem with your entry, the commenter will let you know.

How to Earn Points
All works must be SFW! Some blood is okay, but no explicit gore or sexual themes.
Drawing
- All drawing entries must be lined and colored. Shading or backgrounds is not required. Monochrome drawings are accepted as long as the style is obvious (ex. blacks are colored in, there is gray-scale, i.e. not just lines). Any kind of drawing is fine (i.e. fullbody, chibi, headshot, etc.).
- Traditional art is accepted as long as it follows the other rules!
- Animation is also accepted.
- The drawing must resemble the subject, either a FMN/CD you own, one you have permission to draw, or the mascots.
- If submitting on DA, please properly credit the group for the species and the owner of the design in question in your description! If submitting to the Toyhouse world, in your post, please mention if someone else owns the fmn you drew.
Writing
- Writing entries must be over or at 500 words, or about 1 page single spaced. Any format is permitted (paragraph style or script style).
- You may only use FMN/CDs you have permission for, and you may use the mascots if you’d like.
- Please mention if someone else owns the fmn you wrote about, or one of the fmns you wrote about in your piece.
Poetry
- We are now also accepting poetry!
- Poems must be 20 lines or more, or made up of several smaller poems that add up to 20 lines or more.
- Any style of poem is fine, you don't have to rhyme unless the format you are using requires it (like a sonnet).
- You may only use FMN/CDs you have permission for, and you may use the mascots if you’d like.
- Please mention if someone else owns the fmn you wrote about, or one of the fmns you wrote about in your piece.
Other Questions
- You can only earn one point in a month, even if you do multiple drawings. Basically, you either participate in a month or you don’t! Think of the points as a checkbox.
- You may do much more than the minimum requirements to enter, however this isn’t going to be monitored or awarded bonus points. In order to keep entry fair and equal to everyone of all skill and comfort levels, we are simply awarding points based on showing effort in their entry. However, we’d love to see anything at all you want to do so don’t feel the need to limit yourself on your entry! There is no maximum amount of polish or word count.
- The entry must be all your own work, please do not collaborate on monthly prompt entries that you wish to claim points for!
- Once you spend your points, they are not refundable, so please be sure before you make a purchase!
- Points can’t be transferred to someone else, though prizes may be purchased with your points as gifts for other people. In this case, make sure you ping them so they can confirm either the FMN/CD for the trait changers or upgrades or that they accept the MYO slot to be put under their name. Your points will not be spent until you confirm.
- The point bank will list what you have purchased, not how many you have left, so please do not refer to it as proof that you have X number of slots left - the myo tracker is there for this purpose!
- This is not meant to be a very hard thing, or something that will take a great deal of work, but rather a fun way to engage with the community. The effort requirement is just to keep people from gaming the system, if you honestly feel you did your best work and it doesn't meant length requirements or what have you, just message the group and talk to us about it! I promise I don't bite.
Prizes
- Trait Changers - 3 points - These are for preexisting FMNs/CDs only. The currently available trait changers and what they allow are:
- Flower Shuffler - This allows you to change your current flowers into something else, but you must have the same number as you currently do. You do not have to change every flower.
- Wing Color Shifter - This allows you to change black wings into white wings, and vice versa. It also allows you to change half and half to either all black or all white.
- Wing Length Changer (FMN) - This changes the length of an FMNs wings between medium and long, or from chest length to medium or long.
- Wing Length Changer (CD) - This changer can only make wings longer, from small to medium to long in that direction.
- Trait Upgrades - 4 points - These allow you to upgrade either an existing FMN/CD or a MYO slot. Please check the MYO journal and species journal for more about these addons! The ones available through the point system are:
- Flower Eyes (FMN)
- Halo (FMN)
- Baby/Chest Wings (FMN)
- Horns (CD)
- MYO Slots - These are fully functional MYO slots, though they can only be traded and not resold as money was not paid for them (this will be noted on the tracker). They cost a variable amount based on rarity. The ones available through the point system are:
- White Wing FMN - 6 points
- Black Wing FMN - 6 points
- Half and Half Wing FMN - 8 points
- 1 Sin/Large Wings CD - 10 points
Redeeming Points
- Please post on the point redemption center forum what you’d like to redeem your points for, and what FMN/CD you’d like to use for it (when applicable). Your points will be adjusted and the item added to the tracker, and then you will be notified that the point redemption is complete!
- If you are buying for someone else, please ping them and have them reply to you that they are confirming the purchase and what FMN/CD they’d like to use the items on (if applicable). Only once this person has confirmed will we finish up the transaction.
