Canborough - The capital of Opela. It is the most sprawling metropolis in Amaiera. Built from the ground up by Trade King Arum, it is a prosperous city with many advancements made for technology and society.

Districts

Trade & Market District -

The largest district of the city, of course, has to do with its trades. This is where many of the stores and business chains are located, and even many restaurants. This area is always bustling with life and people, during the day and night. However, it is advised to be somewhat careful. It is known that, the farther away from the Upper District and Town Square you get, the more sketchy and even sometimes dangerous the area can be. There is an existing black market, though it is     seldom spread information as to where it festers.

Upper District -

This is a slightly more prestigious area. The homes and apartments within this district are of high quality and more expensive than other areas. There are some 5 star restaurants and other popular entertainments located here as well. This is also where any government operated buildings are.

Lower District -

The lower district is a residential area filled with more modest and usually cheaper housing and apartments. Despite this, it is actually still a relatively nice and well-kept area. If a resident doesn't live in their store within the market area, it is likely that they live in this area. This also includes the housing and farms that surrounds the outside of the city walls.

Industrial District -

Many Aether and steam-based factories are found in this area. They manufacture just about everything here. It is a pretty loud area, filled with the sound of whistling and rushing air. The factories and the areas surrounding them are very hot due to the way that they operate. Therefore, it is mostly avoided by the general public unless they work there.

Academic District -

A district that surrounds the infamous floating Flight Academy. It is made up mostly of student dorms, libraries, and other small commodities for those who study there.

Points of Interest

1. Town Square -

This is nearly the exact middle of the city. Surrounding this plaza is many important buildings. In the middle is a beautiful fountain display.

2. Train Station -

Where the train passing through the city stops to let passengers on and off. To the North, it's next big stop is the snowy city of Mirstone. To the South, it goes to Portguard and eventually Seafront. It is a relatively fast, and intricately built steam train.

3. Town Hall -

When the rankings of the Trade need to meet with each other, it will often be done here. Sometimes Arum spends time here when he needs to make decisions for the city.

4. Convention Centre -

This massive building is often where holiday feasts, parties, and dances are held. Usually it is decorated for each occasion. Otherwise, it is not usually open to the public.

5. Place of Worship -

A unique cathedral that allows the worship of any religion. Inside this huge building, made of stone and decorated with stained glass, there are shrines to all kinds of gods and such, some with many followers and offerings, and some with very few. It seems they do not discriminate or question here.

6. City Park -

The city park is a beautiful, grassy paradise in the middle of the busy city. It makes for a great escape from city life. Many celebrations are held here and often people are setting up picnics or taking daily walks amongst the scenery. There is a large lake that takes up half of it, that people often swim in in the summer, or ice skate on in the winter.

7. Arum, Co. -

The Trade King Arum resides in this huge building - which also serves as where he manufactures his products.

8. Marketplace -

The bustling area in which shopkeepers and merchants set up stalls to sell their traded goods. Often, their prices are high, but some are willing to pay that to get what they need - though it is possible to do some bargaining at times. Though one must be just as stubborn, if not more so than who they are trying to haggle with. They will often do their best to rip someone off if said person don't know any better.

9. Public Library -

A very large library used often by the students of the Flight Academy, but is open to the public.

10. Flight Academy -

A floating school above the city. It is prestigious and well known for its advances in technology. Essentially, it is a building that is sitting upon balloons (like the opposite of a typical airship/zeppelin), and it is tethered in place with a clear glass
elevator leading up to access it. Here, they offer education about steam-power and Aether. This is also Marisol's workplace (and home).

11. Dance Club -

A dance club located in a small building, that Hook & Saru frequent.

12. The Drunken Dancer -

14. Lilo's Stitches -

A seamstress shop run by a tiny old lady with a thick accent named Lilo. She is known for making uniforms for the military men and officers of the city. Koenraad gets custom made clothing from here.

15. Lily of the Valley -

This apothecary shop is ran by both Rani and Che, both of then taking up residence on the second story of the building. The Lily of the Valley specializes in the making and selling of natural medicines, herbs and tea.
