THE BLACK MARKET

The Black Market contains rare & expensive, sometimes illegal items that characters cannot buy anywhere else.

On rare occasions, there may be rare items, such as pets, that rotate into the store. Or, new items may make their way onto the market. There will be a notification in the server when/if this happens.

For example, we may introduce more types of guns in the future.

Current Stock

GUNS

Guns are rare items in Amaiera, considering how they work and what they are made out of. Because there is no such thing as gunpowder, they instead work using steam created by Aether. Some parts must also be crafted out of metal in order to sustain through the forces of a bullet being fired. Some are more fancy than others. More options may become available in time, with limited quantities.

They will require you to purchase bullets and Aether canisters every so-many uses, depending on what it's description says. This is based on the honor system.

The Pipe-rifle is a cheaper option for those who seek a weapon for home defense.
It is a single-shot, side-loading gun, meaning you must reload a bullet into the into it every time you wish to shoot.

The backpack must be filled with water. When turned on, the Aether canister will begin to leak into the water, and this chemical reaction creates a build-up of steam. Pulling the trigger of the gun will send a signal to flip open a valve that allows the steam to suddenly burst through the pipe and into the gun, launching the bullet out of the barrel. All of this takes quite a few seconds to happen, but so long as you are aiming where you need to be, your target will be hit.

You must purchase bullets and an Aether canister, as well as refill the water, every 20 uses.
Price: 800 pts

The Aether Pistol is a portable handgun created for self-defense.
It is a single-shot, muzzle-loading gun, meaning you must reload a bullet each time you wish to shoot.

The center canister is filled with water, and the Aether canister force a portion of it into the chamber when the trigger is pulled, forcing a quick chemical reaction to shoot into the barrel and fire the bullet. It only takes a few quick seconds for this to occur.

In order to reload, it is very similar to a flintlock/musket. You must put the bullet in the front of the barrel and stuff it in with the ramrod (the detachable golden rod underneath the front of the barrel).

You must purchase bullets and an Aether canister, as well as refill the water, every 10 uses.
Price: 1200 pts

You get 20 bullets for the rifle, 10 for the pistol.

OTHER WEAPONS

Simpler weapons are available for those who are not the type to wield a gun. This includes:
Knives, daggers, brass knuckles, batons, throwing knives, pepper spray.
Basically things that are considered self-defense weapons that one would carry with them on the street, concealed
on their person.

Feel free to ask if they carry a specific type of weapon you may be looking for.
