Welcome, everybody, to a Special 2024 Lunar New Year themed Flash Prompt! This is a fun, short time, activity to earn some extra CC and to challenge yourself a little!
Please note: You must choose either Drawing or Writing for a Flash Prompt, doing both for one Flash Prompt will not earn you extra CC!
Double Note: You do not have to participate in the Monthly Prompt(s) to participate in the Flash Prompt!
Rules and Rewards
Drawing
Submit to the Flash Prompt gallery folder or the Flash Prompt thread.
Have the name of the Flash Prompt somewhere in the title. Ex: A Whole New World - Outdoor Adventure
Must be Fully Coloured (No sketches or just linework. Flat colours perfectly fine.)
Must have Background with a clear setting, unless specified otherwise.
Must have a link to the Pillowing-Archive entry for any used Pillowings/Lintlings.
At least one Pillowing/Lintling with 30% of it showing. (No just heads, paws, or tails.)
200 cc for 1 Character + Background Additional 60 cc per character (max 500cc)

2024 Year of the Dragon
Colorful explosions light the sky as the new year draws closer. Dragons dance across the street as the streets are full and lively. The lunar new year marks the year of the dragon is upon us! Are you and your Pillowing(s) getting involved in the festivities or staying inside to watch the fireworks? Maybe dreaming of what it would be like to be dragon dancing in the sky? The prompt is to draw or write something related to the lunar new year or the year of the dragon.
If you need some ideas, there are a few below, but feel free to run with your own inspiration if you want:
- What are you and your Pillowing(s) doing to celebrate? Are you staying inside to avoid the noise or out and about partying?
- POW! Firework light up the night this time of year! How is your pillowing handling the noise and lights?
- What would it be like to be a dragon? Would your pillowing(s) be a large scary dragon, or maybe a soft friendly one? Long and serpent like or closer to wyvern? (This allows you to draw your pillowing in a different form for the sake of the prompt! It's one of the few times you're allowed to deviate from the current archive design, but the pillowing/lintling must still be easily recognized as the one included on the archive post) (This prompt still requires a background)

Trick or Treats 2023
The days before Halloween creep closer as the temperatures start to get colder and the leaves turn shades of oranges and browns. The appearance of fall isn't the only thing that follows however. Rumors of a mysterious location, a pair of pillowings with their paws full with a strange door, and of course Halloween night itself!
Are you and your Pillowing(s) focused on getting ready for the upcoming festivities? Or maybe investigating these rumors? The prompt is to draw or write something related to preparing for the upcoming time of Halloween and the ToT event.
If you need some ideas, there are a few below, but feel free to run with your own inspiration if you want:
- How are you and your Pillowing(s) preparing to go Trick-or-Treating this year? Still deciding on a costume or the mad dash to complete it?
- Oh, Luther and Daphne look like they could use a hand carrying all those goodies! Wait a minute...was that a tail you just saw poking out?
- The yard looks a little bare, time to decorate for the trick or treaters!
- Where could this strange door be? Are you and your Pillowing(s) searching for the answer or exploring the area for it?

Hello everyone, I can't believe we're already in November of this year!! The Pillowing Pile Mods have once again decided to do a Secret Santa this year!
Sign ups will be open until Sunday 11/19/23. After they're closed everyone will be paired up and starting Monday 11/20/23 (possibly through out the week) sent a DM with the information provided via the form. You will have until the 31st of December to complete your art but please don't post publicly or send it until the 23rd of December. Please do reply to the DM with your finished art piece so we can keep track of who has a present! You may ask for an extension if needed.
You must be a member of the Cloverse Discord Server to participate.

Whew, it's been a wild week, and poor Luther looks like hey! You can't just- Okay, fine... So he's just going to leave that door broken. Anyways, after the chaos of knocking for gifts, what all did you and your pillowings get? Whether it's tricks or treats, you had to have gotten something good, right?
How did this event go for you? Did you get a lot of fun goodies? Did you miss a few days? Are you looking to just forget about it and move on to the next big event? Or maybe you're helping clean up after the mess that everyone made. Possibly even just looking back on the more fun or wild interactions.
The prompt is to draw or write something related to anything that's happened since the ToT event started.
If you need some ideas, there are a few below, but feel free to run with your own inspiration if you want:
- How did you and your Pillowing(s) prepare to go Trick-or-Treating this year? Any fun costumes or any last minute changes?
- Oh, Luther's door is locked! Maybe if you bang hard enough, he'll open it up!

The above Spotlight is the short version of [20/Aug-20/Sep 2021] PixelRaccoon's Snowball, as we have a couple of other fun announcements to include as well~
With this spotlight rotation, we would like to announce that we have adjusted the Clovercoin (cc) rewards for artworks made for it! Now each fullbody drawing of the Spotlight Character will earn users 175cc instead of the previous 150cc, and the maximum cc earned per Spotlight submission has been raised from 300cc to 400cc! This means you get to earn a little bit more just for showing the spotlight design some well earned attention <3
Thrift Store
With the addition of increased rewards for the Spotlight Character, we are please to also announce that there's a brand new folder in the Pillowing Pile!
As many of you know, the Thrift Store is a place where Pillowings go to find new homes and users are able to purchase new friends using the group currency. Well, users are now able to get an extra cc reward for drawing the characters currently looking for a home in the Thrift Store as well as our Thrift Store Mascot, Norman!
About the Folder:
• Once a character is purchased from the Thrift Store, you can only submit artwork of them to the folder for another week. After that, it will no longer count as Thrift Store art and will be General Art instead.
• Only 2 submissions may be submitted to the folder, per week, for these rewards.
• A background is not required for these to count.
CC Rewards:
• 150cc per Fullbody of a Thrift Store Character or Norman
• 50cc for including a background (Must provide a clear setting and be more than just props)
• 50cc per Headshot/Halfbody of a Thrift Store Character or Norman
• 5cc per Headshot/Halfbody of Non-Thrift Characters
• 10cc per Fullbody of Non-Thrift Characters
• 300cc Maximum Per Image
Reminders
With the two big updates out of the way, we would like to just provide a couple of more minor reminders. The first one is that the Prompt Pack Rotation is still currently on the catch up event. This means you can do any of the past prompts to get the rewards for them! And once we get back to proper rotations, some of these prompts will not be seen again. More information here.
Finally, we have the Pillowing Daycare. This is a journal on Deviantart, where you can drop off your pillowings for other users to draw. Any pillowing that's currently in the daycare can be used for the increased daycare cc rewards, or as extras for prompts or general artwork! This is basically a place where Pillowing Owners can drop up to three registered pillowings to grant others permission to use them in artwork for the duration of their stay in the daycare.
This being said, to the users that currently have their pillowings in the daycare, please take a moment to make sure that you have replied to the Form Comment and that your submission is still up to date. From time to time, the Pillowing Pile staff will go through every comment there to make sure that things are still up to date. If the pillowings no longer belong to the user that posted them, there are multiple posts by the same user, or a comment was left rather than a reply, these messages will be removed without warning.
