Traits

TRAITS:

Kallis are prideful creatures, and they love showing off their horns. Even the most laidback Kalli carefully maintains their horns! All Kalli horns carry a faint, bioluminescent pattern on them, whether they be stripes or another design. They light up when a Kalli is using magic or experiencing a strong emotional response.

In the beginning of their conception, these horns were used for practical purposes, useful for hanging ingredients off of. However, with the advancement of modern times, they've become an expression of identity, and for some avant garde Kallis, a fashion statement. Horns come in four different tiers shown below.

More horn types, both permanent and limited, will be posted here as well. In general, if you follow the guidelines for each horn category, you can feel free to create your own specific shape!

COVEN SIGILS:

covensigils.png?width=950&height=507

Each coven has their own unique sigil. This mark appears on any location of your Kalli's body as a tattoo. This soul mark is what helps bind the essence of Kalli together to help them maintain their corporeal form. If a Kalli leaves its coven, the physical tattoo can be removed from their body, resulting in a scar, but the sigil on their soul will remain there forever. If a Kalli wishes to change covens, the soul sigil must be replaced with the new coven's sigil--an extremely agonizing process that can only be enacted by a Coven Leader. Independent witches will have their own unique soul sigil.

Their potion is a Kalli's lifeblood and source of magic. They can do basic magic easily, but stronger magic will consume some of their potion. If a potion bottle is empty or broken, its Kalli will begin to starve to death. However, they can either use the main ingredient in their original potion or some of their hair, which also contains faint soul essence, to replenish the potion temporarily. Only witches can fully brew and rebrew a Kalli.

Potion bottles are stored in a reinforced glass window called the Vitral. These compartments are typically located in the chest, torso, neck, and leg area. Potion bottles remain suspended inside the vitral's space for protection and for your Kalli's ease of access if they ever need a refill. The vitral can be damaged, but it takes enormous force or magic to do so. Vitral can also become cracked under extreme emotional duress. Your Kalli can open and close their own vitral at will.

Vitral's default shape is a wraparound rectangle, but this shape can be freely altered. The color of vitral can also be changed.

POTION STOPPERS:

Each coven has their own unique stopper for storing Kallis in stasis. Their popularity stems from the past, when covens needed to constantly be on the road, fleeing from pursuers. Witches are able to condense Kallis back into their original liquid form, using these stoppers as a means of identification when moving them en masse. Stasis is also used when a Kalli is in critical condition--changing them into their liquid form temporarily while their potion is rebrewed lowers the chance of losing the Kalli, as they no longer have to expend faint magic to maintain their human shape. Think of it as an intense power saving mode!

Imperium: A mysterious, ever shimmering crystal that sits upon a cracked obsidian throne.

Veritas: A relentlessly spinning planet floating above a steel foundation.

Sacrementum: A small dagger, constantly dripping blood, stabbed through a cork stopper.

POTION BOTTLE:

Potion bottles vary in size, shape, color, and decoration! These are some examples of what certain rarities may look like, but there are always more bottles to be discovered. They can be decorated with whatever you'd like--stickers, tassels, keychains, etc. Generally, the classifications are as follows:

⋆⋅Common: Simple, four sided shapes.

⋆⋅Uncommon: Multi-sided or faceted shapes.

⋆⋅Rare: Curved shapes or simple item shapes.

⋆⋅Ultra Rare: Complicated item shapes taken from nature or society.
