I didn’t have much recent art of Newark or Ohare for their toyhou.se pages so I decided as my first non-comic art I’d draw new references for them.

Ohare is such a dear character to me. I love writing about her and drawing her.

I also made a drawing of Newark, but because the file isn’t as wide it didn’t look good in a photoset, so I’ll throw it down here:

Newark is a very polarizing character for people other than myself, because I love him a lot. He’s become a lot more sinister over the years because of plot related stuff. But maybe because people think he’s sinister, now I write him that way?? It’s a mystery

Free drawing time! I’ve earned it.

There’s going to be a new installment of Artists at the Ready which is the OCT everyone always pictured themselves entering at one point or another (I have past documents written up about it!) Anyways I’m too busy making a Quality Webcomic to do an OCT but if I did… since they brought it down to 2 OCs, I’d bring along Newark and Ohare! My favorite sibling tag-team. My summon is my song “dances”; hand motions and the corresponding lyrics! You can see me doing this same action with the hand near my head in my current twitter/tapastic icon.

We’ll take it from here, Dad!

Newark and Ohare’s birthdays are this weekend and I decided to draw an early birthday present for them. I came up with Newark 5 years to my birthday and Ohare two days later. They’re some of my favorite characters and I’m proud to be celebrating a 5 year anniversary with them! (And the greater number of the Offsprings too).

I thought I’d continue to draw some Offsprings and draw Newark and Ohare, especially since I wanted to try a different face shape for Newark. This one both differentiates him from Ohare and makes him look a bit more like Panic. But I like the wider face too. What do you guys think?

i got bored today doing homework and while I was reading for english class I thought “what would Newark and Ohare be like if they switched aspects but retained elements?” so here is Abnormality!Newark. Regular Newark already wields an axe (often) and so I had to go the whole yandere route with him. And give him Espurr eyes! If you’re wondering why his axe doesn’t have any blood on it, it’s because the axe is made of void and can’t be covered with anything 0o0

Happy 5th Panicversary!

It’s almost hard to believe that I’ve stuck with one character and their story for 5 years today! Panic has always been one of my favorite characters, and we used to go on lots of adventures together - but believe it or not, I was once really scared of Panic! I’m really happy to be working on revamping his story. I’m also really amazed at the whole world the Panic story has created in my own catalog of stories. It’s hard to write out how glad I have this Post-Panic universe to run around in and make up lots of characters for.

For this picture I wanted to include characters that are important to the story or that are Panic’s allies, since he doesn’t have a ton of friends. I also had to put Ohare and Newark there up at the top as cameos since they aren’t actually characters in Panic’s story but in the stories afterwards, but they are his “kids” so it didn’t feel right leaving them out! I have a version of the picture with everyone named on it right here.

Here’s to my continued success with these characters! Next year I’ll be able to celebrate Ohare and Newark’s 5th birthday, since they came about in Dec. 2009.

It’s Asexual Awareness week, so I thought I’d draw one of my characters who is asexual, Newark.

Newark is asexual aromantic. But like his originator (Panic) he does have a tendency to mentor others (like Cal or the Traveler). He expects certain things out of this mentor-pupil relationship. The fact that Nanuet doesn’t go along with this scheme actually ruffles Newark a bit.
