Eclair was, in many ways, my first oc. I'm actually so delighted he is still so dear to my heart. I made him back in 2012 when I was just starting to get into characters. His design was....well atrocious. Bright blue with chaotic robotic-like elements. Luckily over the years his design has become a little more refined and I'm actually quite happy with it! He was originally going to be part of this story with his sister (Blur) and best friend (Kinetic)--both of which were also androids. They were going to be somewhat of superheros. Ultimately I decided I did not connect with the sister and best friend and dropped them as characters. As I slowly learned about character collecting I found out about fursonas. I don't think I ever had a moment in which I wanted to make Eclair my fursona...he just sorta fell into the position and has not left since. I honestly do not think I would ever even consider selling or trading Eclair away. Even in dire financial need he would be the last to go. Not only does he have the most art out of all my characters (I try not to pick favorites but *spoiler alert* he is my favorite) but I've probably spent over $100 dollars on him alone. I plan on spending much more than that on my son too!.- Eclair has lived a rather unique life due to the fact he is not really 'alive.' He is ,in fact, entirely robotic. You would never be able to tell from his perfect speech and fluid movements...and because he has a very distinct personality. He was built by a high tech company that had a ton of money to spend on experimentation. Unfortunately their experimenting went a little too far and Eclair was born (or well...created). Realizing they essentially made a thinking, feeling, being...they released him into the world to live his life just like anyone else. Of course this did not come with difficulties. Eclair shorts out in water, has not the need to eat or drink, and does not age. He spent the better part of his life cooped up in the attic of one of the scientists who made him. This is probably where he developed most of his bad habits. In that attic he learned his love for video games, naps, and general laziness...however it is also where he found his passion for music. He began testing his own skills at the art and realized he quite enjoyed it and was even able to obtain a fairly large following. While browsing through music message boards he happened to strike up a conversation with a red panda named Pibb. Over the course of several months they grew closer and when the panda offered to be roommates while he attended college Eclair could not resist meeting his friend. Although very different they are now living together peacefully. Eclair hosts raves and djs several events every month and makes decent money. Across the hall from the two's own apartment is a gal by the name of Phae and so far the three only seem to be growing closer.
- Ever since moving out of his isolated space Eclair has been meeting new people all the time. He is familiar with many of my own ocs but he has really branched out. He has found a deep connection with both a tiger named Beowulf and a dog named Marshall.
| Eclair is a male android and prefers the pronouns he/him. He identifies as a gray asexual probably due to the fact that he is an android and has trouble feeling sexual feelings towards anyone. Eclair is honestly pretty grumpy. Most would compare the droid to a cranky old man. Although he is rather crass with those he is not well acquainted with he is actually quite fun to be around once he is comfortable with whoever is in his presence. Eclair is technically ageless but is rumored to be around twenty years old. He prefers not to disclose his personal life since he is such a private fellow. Eclair's passions are few and far between-- Music and sleeping are his two favorite hobbies. The droid is an absolute music fanatic. Any genre, any time. This love for song is actually what landed him his dream job: a DJ. When he is scratching records he is referred to as DJBA, or DJ Blue Android. Eclair's mood and energy change drastically when he is doing his job; nothing makes him happier then remixing his favorite songs behind a sound board. A bright smile replaces that ever present frown and he often swings his hips or taps his feet to the beat. Eclair is a trendy fellow, keeping up fads comes naturally to him. He always has the newest in technology, though he is quite sentimental in that respect as well. You can often find him messing with a playstation or gameboy in his freetime. He's a sucker for classics as well, he keeps The Beatles and David Bowie vinyl close at all times. Eclair is more of a darker person, both in humor and overall demeanor. His jokes are raw and often times teasing and his voice drips with sarcasm constantly. It is hard to tell if he is being serious or not from his monotone timbre. Eclair--being the 'grumpy cat' he is--hates a great deal of things. Children especially. He isn't fond of adults, teenagers...or people in general. He's an anti social hermit that would rather avoid interacting with others at all costs. The dog is also on the lazy side--he can't even watch sports without without becoming drowsy. However, the android is actually very reliable--he's punctual, and is the type of friend you'd want to call if you're in need of help. He's not charitable, but his safety for his friends is tremendous. - Eclair can have extreme paranoia in some situations. He can be fine one moment and suddenly be a complete anxious mess the next. The best thing he can do to remedy his racing mind in these sort of events is to simply remain calm and listen to some chilled out beats. He loves Unexpected, by Eevee whenever he is feeling particularly stressed out
- yes, Eclair smokes for the aesthetic. He probably does not set the best example but this bad habit isn't actually all that bad for him. He is an android and therefore is incapable of getting cancer or any other nasty disease smoking causes. The worst it does is gunk up his insides a lil, which he then cleans out.
- Eclair was manufactured in France, so although he does primarily speak English he also knows french!
- Throughout the years he has also picked up piano and guitar--no doubt cuz of his love for music.
