- Invoicing and Timing
- Once you have sent your request and I have accepted it, I will send you a sketch for approval. Once the sketch has been approved, I will send you a PayPal invoice. After payment has been submitted, I will finish the commission and send it to you.
- Please do not send money until you have received an invoice.
- Commissions turnaround can be between a few days and two months; if you are working with a time limit, please let me know, and I will tell you if I am able to work within your preferred timeframe. I work a full time job and my schedule can be unpredictable. I will let you know ahead of time if I anticipate a commission taking longer than a week or two!
- References
- Image refs are preferred
- I will take written references, but I may charge a small fee if they're really really detailed and specific.. I can do image AND written refs, but it takes more time and energy to convert a lot of text into an image that matches the one in your head!
- If you do have written refs and no previous art of your character, it is extremely helpful if you have some inspiration pics, like celebrity lookalikes, moodboards, etc.
- It's helpful if you tell me a little about the character; their personality and hobbies and a little backstory, so I can draw them true to their personality. You're not rambling, don't apologize!
- Revisions
- You may make up to one major and three minor revisions at the sketch stage, and up to three minor revisions of the final product. Any additional revisions may be subject to a small fee.
- If you wish to cancel the commission, there is no charge if I am still at the sketch phase. Once I am at the lineart phase and up, you will be refunded 70% of the original invoice.
- After it's Done
- If you do not want me to post your commission online, please tell me.
- You may post the commission online as long as you link back to me
- You may not sell the sketch or final image (If you are selling the character as a packaged deal, you may include the commissioned image as long as I am credited.)
- Etc
- If you violate any ToS or if you behave in an inappropriate way, I reserve the right to refund you and cancel the commission.
