Lori grew up in a wealthy family with parents who were often either physically or emotionally absent, though this didn't bother her much due to her lavish living conditions. She filled the void that was generated by her parents' absence with things, and for awhile it worked- the things drew in new friends, new lovers and sometimes exciting adventures. It was a fun ride, while it lasted. When she still lived with her folks she made a reputation for herself as a fashionista and travel enthusiast, wearing expensive designer clothes and hopping on private jets for weekends at exotic locations. Sometimes her parents still let her get away with these expenses, but nowadays she's more on her own, not because her parents don't love her- but to help her develop a sense of responsibility for herself, which she hadn't had to deal with before.

Now that she's living on her own, Lori works at a high-end designer clothing store in the mall. It's not a fabulous job, but she enjoys it. Her co-workers are the type of people she'd hang out with before, and she gets to make use of her designer wardrobe because she has to wear store merchandise to work everyday, so in a sense she gets to dress up and hang out with fun people, as long as she handles inventory correctly and mans the cash register, life is pretty good. She doesn't make too much money, but with an associate discount, sometimes getting new pieces for her wardrobe is possible, which excites her. Most of all, though, she loves to wander around the mall on her breaks. This is exactly how she met Valentine Annesly, a good friend of hers, who works at one of the food kiosks she frequents for lunch!

Lori has a rich girl presence to her, even now that she's technically no longer in that position. She's tall, thin, beautiful- she eats a healthy diet and has a cheerleader voice that's always polite, peppy and energetic. Her wardrobe is all branded, her hair is immaculately kept and her nails are always freshly done. She can be very two-faced, a skill which allows her to at least temporarily get along with anyone, with the detriment coming when people find out that she's not as enthralled with them as she let on. Lori always has something to talk about and she can chat about anything for any duration of time. She seems like a perfect person, if a bit annoying due to her talkative nature, but she's beautiful, charismatic and wealthy- people flock to her and she's always someone who makes a splash wherever she goes and leaves a positive impression. The people who dislike her are usually those who are jealous of her and the fact that she's got everything they'd ever want.

Underneath her happy-go-lucky presence though is a person who's more thoughtful than she lets on. Perhaps it's because every aspect of her life before living in the real world had been a strategic endeavor, but she always thinks about what she does and says before she does it and minds herself as to not set off any social landmines. She's cautious, in short, which is something nobody would ever guess about her because of how easy-going and free-flowing she seems- but that's a part of the act she's been practicing her entire life. She has a guilty pleasure for Starbucks drinks and donuts. She likes to window shop for things she can't afford and she's big into thrifting or second hand shopping, as well as DIY styling up her own clothes. Lori knows that she can't cover her grief with items now, but it's the only coping method her parents ever taught her, and she's still learning how to move away from it and towards healthier methods. She's also never sure who to trust- are people there for her, or for her money? She's never sure.

The only people Lori really does trust are her friend Valentine and their mutual friend Soul VanBelle. All three of them are witches in a coven- though Soul is the only one who actually lives in the coven halls. Lori doesn't make a big deal out of her learning magic, and she mostly got involved because it seemed to mean something to Valentine. She does find some solace in the coven though- because there currency doesn't really matter, it's a sisterhood regardless of the life one may have outside coven walls.

Overall, Lori is an ex-rich girl with a focus on fashion. She's a people-pleaser who always knows what to say, but never knows who she can put her faith in.
