Akim

Akim was a very tall, pale skinned man in his late 20s with naturally white hair, black piercings, a scar on his right eye, cornflower blue eyes, enlarged front teeth, and a very thick, Russian accent. He had a muscular build and a very off-putting and tense posture, almost as if he was trying to imitate a cliché killer in a horror film. Akim was very cold, distant, and self-loathing. He was incredibly antisocial, always ready to find a way to be as close to mute as possible - though when spoken to, he would be straight to the point and blunt so he can finish conversations quickly and affectively. He didn't care for loud, emotional people and found people like this to be extremely annoying and uncomfortable to be around. Despite being a hothead, he had excellent self control.

>Akim was born in St Petersburg, Russia, in 1992. he has a father, mother, and two older brothers. His father was a very traditional man, and liked having order in the household, while his mother was very distant and pretty much out of the picture. His older brothers, Kirill and Timur, were bullies to Akim as most older siblings are. They would tease him and do most sibling banter. Akim's family were born fishermen, and his father was a well-known fisherman across the city. Naturally, he wanted his boys to be the same. Kirill and Timur were taught first, but when it was Akim's turn, something stimmed in his brain that fishing was not his thing. It wasn't fishing itself that he hated, but it was the water. Just looking at the ocean with its crashing waves and (its seeming to be) bottomless depth shook him to his core. He'd never have the courage to step a single foot on his father's boat.
Teen Life
Eventually, times got rough in St Petersburg and Akim's father was running out of money to afford their house, so his best idea was to move to Finland - which ended up failing as well. They moved from Finland to Estonia, to Sweden, until his father made the ultimate decision: move to the United States. His parents agreed that fishing somewhere a lot warmer would be ideal, so the family set up their new home in New Orleans, Louisiana. Akim was close to his freshman year of high school, so he finished middle school at home, and went to Copper Valley High after he finished up eighth grade. He was extremely nervous, not just because of the fact he was a completely new kid who just moved to town, but because he wasn't confident in his English. He was given a "buddy", which basically was a student from his class that would show him around the school and teach him things about said school. That lucky kid was named Serafino, an olive skinned boy with a very slender frame and bold personality. When Akim was more settled into the school, he encountered a short boy named Quincy, who was the definition of the most distasteful, annoying, and idiodic kind of person - in Akim's opinion. Their two contrasting personalities ended up being a good mix for one another as Quincy invited himself to hang out with Akim at school every single day. Talking with Quincy helped his English get remarkably better over the years.
Adulthood
When Akim graduated from high school, his father pulled him out from the different college applications he had applied for to try one final time to get him on a boat. Akim refused, but was forced on anyway. He was forced to be taught how to steer his father's ship and how to catch fish like a proper gentleman for the next three years instead of attending college like he wanted. His father died a few months after Akim began to regularly set out to sea to fish, and from that day forward he had a plan: he would attend college in the fall and fish in the summer to balance the two out without completely going against his late father's words. His plan went on well until he was caught in a storm out in the Gulf of Mexico, where he eventually got in a shipwreck and drowned, dying inside of the thing he feared the most: the ocean.

- Akim's creation date is in fact the same as his ToyHouse profile creation date: March 13th, 2021.
- Akim hates PE class solely because there is a pool involved in one of the gym's wings.
- If Akim were still alive, he would have planned to dye his hair dark brown before attending college.
- No one in Akim's family knows about his death, or where he is even currently located. They are left under the assumption he ran away from home and never would come back.
Quincy was very attracted towards Akim's tallness and immediately wanted to be his friend - which he achieved against Akim's will. Akim was not one to be friends with people like Quincy, but felt too afraid and lonely to ignore him. Quincy was the leader of their friendship, Akim basically following his lead in conversations, hang outs, and gossip. Quincy helped Akim with English grammar and in return, Akim taught Quincy some Russian words, but always refused to teach him bad ones. They lost contact after high school - not because Akim secretly wanted this, but because he was too busy with college and working with his father. Akim would talk to him the days he had free time and told Quincy about how he's trying to overcome his fear of the ocean to be a fisherman like his dad as a side job, and Quincy still believes him to be out there to this day, fishing to his heart's content.
Akim and Serafino were never considered close, but Akim always appreciated his company. Serafino was the first student Akim met in high school, but they never bonded like Akim would hoped to have happen. They used to get along just fine in high school until Serafino confessed that Akim's best friend was not as sweet as he presented himself to be, which made Akim very upset and wrecked any chance of them becoming good friends. Even with that incident in the past, Akim still holds this grudge, even outside of highschool.
