Beck is an incredibly intelligent psychology major who quit her line of work after an 'unspecified' public breakdown. She had wanted to stray from her family name to gain independence, but ultimately had to swallow her pride and return to her estranged father for guidance. After sweeping her incident under the rug, Beck's father offers her an entry-level position within his company. Although formerly filled with ambition, she tells herself a boring day job will be a well-needed source of stability for her life. Under the apprenticeship of her brother, Beck is forced to pick up months worth of his slack. Late hours spent over unfinished paperwork leads her to notice that things don’t quite add up around the office. When she tries to approach her brother about it, he casually mentions that stuff sometimes gets done off-the books. Turns out that Beck’s reputable family business is a front for illegal activities....
