The first snow begins to fall.
The bright skies dim and the land covers in a dense frost. 
However this winter, the nation froze along with the weather.
The throne has been overthrown--the king slain, and the remainder of the beloved royal family is on the run. 
This was Nix, a prosperous country where the king ruled with equity and true kindness. 
How could this have happened?! 

One of the last heirs convinces a lone mercenary, Vesuvius, to be his personal guard, claiming that the royal knights can no longer be trusted.
