Evolin has two different backgrounds - one for his role as a D&D character, and another for his role as a general OC.
D&D
Evolin is a variant human from a temperate forest village where humans and elves live intertwined lives. Within the forest lay a shrine that the fey were said to visit. As a child, Evolin would regularly enter the forest to chug the cold shrine-water. As a result, he began to develop a magical connection to the fae.
He found that the fey-water had made him glow with a supernatural charm. His ability to forage and fend off forest-monsters grew too. He was soon picked up by the village sage, who wished to investigate his new powers. He knew that Evolin would never become a powerful ranger unless he finally strayed from his village home. Evolin travels the realm, picking up jobs, chatting to new people, and exploring his boon.

Evolin is from a temperate town on the edge of a forest. He engaged with his parents' horse husbandry business from a young age. He became so talented at riding that he became able to perform many tasks, like marksmanship, on horseback with ease. Eventually, Evolin left home to become something of a ranger, taking his horse Shofan everywhere.
He has taken many roles, and he could be called something of a cowboy. He travels the country, picking up odd jobs thrown at him, chatting to new people, often going back to his roots by tending to horses. Shofan, of course, goes with him everywhere, and Evolin is insistent upon the safety of his horse whenever they are forced to part.

When Evolin was young, he was quite quiet. He has always had a sense of humour, but he didn't come out of his shell straight away. The more he travelled and talked to new people, the more he realised how much he enjoyed being extroverted.
He still assumes a quiet and focused attitude when he is working on something, like caring for a horse. He balances this by never shutting up at a social setting. His personality is magnetic, and many people are intrigued by his choice to cover his eyes. In truth, he hasn't gotten round to cutting his hair (ever).
Vee is autistic, and his special interest is horses. He could talk for hours about horses, the care and maintenence of them, their physiology, and their behaviour. He was nonverbal until he was 8, and remained quiet until his teens. He stims verbally by humming and physically by horseriding. He only usually has meltdowns when his horses are disturbed.

Vee's horse, raised from a foal, given to Vee in his teens. Shofan's temperament is challenging - he is suspicious of riders other than Vee.
Although Wareton is important in Vee's life and takes a keen interest in his talents, Vee ultimately feels that their relationship is one-sided.
