Early life

Life inside the School
He was kept as a song bird mostly, and enjoyed it, singing wherever asked but his wings were kept clipped so he couldn't escape, and even if they tried they would be caught fairly quickly. However, the lab loved trying to experiment, resulting in them not only having wings, but also a tail, and heightened senses. He also gained more bird-like habits, such as the head tilts, bird baths, and chirping. He definiatly didn't have it as bad as everyone else, which was a reason he didn't complain about it.
Life outside the School
After he escaped the lab/school, he couldn't fly for a good year after he escaped (due to his clipped wings) and was rendered useless as a bird, still training the muscles needed for flight though. He ended up in a forest, which helped hide his black wings, and heard siniging from somewhere above him, looking around and seeing another winged human, with purple wings, and returned the song. The two stuck together, running from Erasers until they could fly away. Besides singing with Ace, he doesn't say much or sing.
Ace
[ Close Friend/Crush ] Ace and Hanniel first met in a forest, with Ace perched up somewhere high and Hanniel was on the forest floor. Ace was singing to heal himself, and Han heard it, singing back after a few seconds of listening, catching his attention. The two had a moment of 'Are you real?' before Ace flew down and landed near him. The two talked and quickly bonded over their times in the labs, and after a year of walking everywhere, they finally took the the skys, which Hanniel almost cried about, having never flown freely or outside before.
