Adam Derin

While he was on Earth he was a history teacher, though his main love was learning rather than the actual teaching part. He does have minor issues with keeping his attention on one thing so he usually has several books in progress that he jumps between depending on what his interest is at that particular time of day. 

Adam is quite content to take things at a relatively slow pace, and usually does what he can to get by just comfortably, any books he reads he doesn't mind getting through slowly and he doesn't like going out of his way to do things. If he has to go somewhere he's gonna make damn sure there are multiple things out there he needs to visit or the main thing is something he deems sufficiently important, this mindset can sometimes lead to him delaying things until he finds that excuse. 

He greatly values time he gets in peace and quiet and is content to just sit in silence in others company, if they'll allow it. However he has short patience for people who interrupt this peace and can easily get visibly frustrated if he's just trying to relax and wind down after a long day. Generally he's very accommodating and selfless but he needs to 'recharge' often.

Unbeknownst to him, his father was a Great Duke of Hell, run away to live out the rest of his life on Earth rather than in Hell. Though Adam took his mothers name (His father didn't have a last name, technically). When he arrived in Hell it didn't take him long to figure this it out through his own study on Hell and its hierarchy, and after he raised his concerns and his heritage was proven he was given his rightful titles and lands, though his inherited House was rather dusty after 50 years of laying empty. 

He doesn't hate the job change, though he is a little annoyed that admin work has taken away some of the time he can spend at the vast Palace library and with Cyrus. I mean, you'd think dying would give you a little time off to relax...

While he was on Earth and alive, he looked like a normal human. For any of his more demon features to appear he had to arrive in Hell- it was very much a surprise when he woke up one morning with a splitting headache and black eyes. 

• His hair naturally sticks up at the front, it takes effort to manage to smooth it back and have it stay that way. 
• He can get very protective over various things (Inanimate or not) and he's not a fan of people borrowing his things without asking first.
• Since he's dead and he's only half demon, he's a bit less powerful than other Great Dukes/ Demons of heritage. Some give him a bit of a hard time about this, though per the hierarchy he's right at the top his 'peers' sometimes treat him as less.

He initially met the Prince while he was working as an assistant in the Palace library. Now they often can be found near each other, even if it's just mutually sitting in silence doing their own things individually.

Brother

Adam's younger brother. When he was still alive he secretly worked as a demon hunter. Zander is very protective of his family and will pretty much do anything to ensure they don't get caught up in any of his business.
