Fatui

As time marches ever onwards, it's often necessary to grow and adapt in order to ensure that your approach results in the best outcome, every time. As people learn and develop, your old tricks become less and less effective as word spreads about them. Humans are designed to learn from their past, or be doomed to repeat it, and their desperation to hold onto their fleeting lives means they err on the side of the former. Thus the mantra gets spread and repeated: "don't follow the fairy lights".

It is for this reason, in fact, that Fatui has had change their methods - no longer do they lure people into bogs to lose themselves, but rather... they follow a more metaphorical path, a less tangible one.

Fatui is a gleeful, malicious soul who revels in the distress of others. He is clingy, obsessive, and very convincing when he needs to be. He is most in his element when luring others to make bad decisions, like tricking them into breaking up with their partners, or going out to party instead of cramming for their exam the next day. He has begun to take a more subtle approach to ending lives - whereas before he would simply drown people, he now prefers to have them ruin their own futures. Fatui thrives on the challenge, and loves to shape the reality of other's through his words. He is your worst enemy, but wears the mask of a friend.
