Browlet

Bea was born and raised to be nothing more than something to sit on a shelf and to look pretty. He had a very lavish but very unfulfilling childhood.

Fledgling

Bea bloomed in his youth when he was able to start thinking and using his brain. He would often outwit his family and siblings to either get his way or to get out of trouble. It worked far better than anyone ever rightfully gave him credit for, which perhaps worked even more in his favor. His decidedly dull family were kept fairly in the dark on his cleverness.

Young Adult

The browbird's tipping point into leaving was when he was expected to pair with another bird to continue the "good breeding" his family disgustingly touted and bragged about. Bea immediately took all of the money he'd hid and left home. His flock figured it was just a rebellious act and he was sure to return, but the bird never did. At least, not for that. He would come back for he had a hard time entirely leaving his family, but he was always prompt and direct with his intentions and what he would or would not do for them. Being married off to a complete stranger, in his eyes, for another browlet to go through the same felt like torture to him. His family finally relented, though in the "I wish you'd just get this rebellion out of your system" kind of manner. Beata would roll his eyes, wish them well and leave until the next time.

Adult | Current

Detective work paid off. Beata owned a comfortable loft, a nice ship and worked at his own schedule and pace. Though many of his friends and confidants would wager he's a bit of a workaholic. Things all changed for Bea when he got entangled with a ring of crime leaders that all seemed to either tolerate one another or at least were smart enough to keep their enemies close and often met up. Beata entrenched himself in their dealings and now, unfortunately for him, caught their atention.

• Perception: Beata has only learned what one of his aspects is, which is perception. He leans on his aspect a lot to keep him safe in dangerous situations. He avoids traps, can sense trickery and when a situation is getting bad, and overall just seems to be able to skirt past real bad luck. He's not a fighter at all, though if he gets cornered he'll bite and kick like the best of them. His aspect is truly his saving grace from when things get really messy.

• Beata has a large wardrobe which he takes full advantage of. He's often disguised in intricate outfits so he can keep undercover.
• The bird smokes like a chimney and drinks coffee obsessively. He's very entrenched in his vices.
• One of Bea's toughest cases has been trying to figure out the disappearance of one of his family members. It's a case that plagues him.
• Bea's calling card is a crown with a sword through it. This emblem decorates most of his personal belongings.
• The bird is an obsessive worker and very rarely sets aside time for "fun" things. He does enjoy old movies and radio shows though.
