Lunarlight

Lunarlight is a normal sized, shaggy-furred blue tom with marigold eyes. He has light blue coloring around his muzzle, paws and chest, the majority of which have base-colored stripes creeping into it. Along his back he has a "cape" of sorts of long, dark fur that is speckled with white. His tail is also speckled this way. On his chest, Lunarlight has a dark-colored moon symbol, earning him his namesake.

Lunarlight is a pessimistic, quiet and wise cat whose very focused on the past. He does not let many cats into his heart unless they are very persistent and prove that his bad expectations can be defied. Lunarlight looks at the world with a distrusting view, which often keeps him safe and shows him as a smart cat. And smart he is- he is rather bright and hates being held back by the slowness of some of his clanmates.

Lunarlight was born as Moonkit to parents Nightwisp and Lightbeam. Growing up, Lunarkit adored his father Nightwisp with all of his heart. He idolized the hard-working and familiar ex-deputy who stepped down to care for him. Although he knew he couldn't be, Lunarkit wished he was apprenticed to his father and would speak about it constantly. In his early life, much of his time was spent following his father's pawsteps.

When he became an apprentice, Lunarpaw's mentor saw Lunarpaw's bad work habit and put him to work on chores. He fell behind the other apprentices, causing him to seek out help from his friend, Sunpaw. She taught him all the fighting and hunting moves she knew, and Lunarpaw picked them up quickly. One night, while the two were sharing fresh kill far from camp, a pack of foxes attacked them. Nightwisp showed up to help protect the two apprentices, but lost his life in the process. Sunpaw and Lunarpaw couldn't do much to help, as they were both rather unexperienced.

As a warrior, Lunarlight has very little trust in anyone around him. He does not enjoy the company of his clan and does not trust the night itself. He flipped his sleep schedule, sleeping during the day and taking dusk patrols by himself to keep the camp protected. Eventually he came to love the night, as it gave him a quiet moment to think and hunt. He does, in this process, miss his mate Sunspot who wakes with the rest of the clan. He feels he is too wrapped up into it now that he could not sleep with her anymore.
