Summary

Born from the distraught spirit of a deer eaten alive by wolves. Jackalope is the phsycial metaphor of the cycle of nature. To be born, live, die and to feed back to a process for another being.

The night was peaceful. It was chilly, no noises could be heard, the night sky painted with the beauty of outter space and a bight shining full moon as the center piece. The trees framed a feild, on the grass was the starting forms of small ice crystals. A single deer with a coat darker than the night sky itself grazed upon the grass. Small pricks could be heard as it would pick at each grass blade. A beautiful picture of the stillness and peacefulness of nature. Howls, snarls and growls surround the scene. Drooling maws and blood covered claws rip and tear at the painting. Blood is spilled upon the frozen grass blades, melting the partially formed crystals. Life torn and dismembered, contordied into a mockery of what it means to live itself. It rises from the eaten remains of what was once a gorgeous creature, reduced to shame and stravation.
