Candy's owner is a young woman whose parents are divorced, and who is only able to see her father once a year, when she goes to Japan to visit him every summer. One summer, as she was unpacking sweets bought from the combini store, she found that her father had bought her some Apollo ; one of her favorites ! While eating her first bite, she rejoiced on the strawberry chocolate melting on her tongue. While her dad used to be pretty strict with her, to the point she had trouble building self-confidence in her childhood, with the sweetness filling her mouth and chest she thought that she had finally overcome the tough years of feeling as if she wasn't good enough. In that moment, this feeling of self-acceptance was so strong that, in a flash of soft light, a little creature spawned on her lap with a joyous smile. Candy had just been born !
