Chomp King (Maxwell)

Overview: Self-proclaimed king of chomps and all their subspecies. Serves as the main antagonist for my first fanfic. He is most often referred to as the Chomp King, but his real name is Maxwell.

Background: A former member of the Koopa Troop, deemed incompetent due to lack of  respect for superior officers which greatly angered him. Very prone to emotional outbursts and fits of rage; he was committed in an institution for a while due to these issues. Soon after being released (which happened mostly because he posed a serious threat), he departed from the Koopa Troop and swore to take back the chomp’s independence from Bowser, thus making himself their leader.
Since departing from the Koopa Troop he has been colleagues with Artemis, a sorceress whom he sees as a mentor.

Appearance:  He is a large golden chain chomp; so large, in fact, that he practically towers over everyone else. His eyes resemble that of a Banzai Bill’s, and they always have a malicious look in them. He wears a relatively large, golden crown that is decorated with diamond-shaped rubies and triangle-shaped amethysts, and circled by a rainbow ring. The chain he wears is made of silver, and is made up of 10 links.

Personality:  As is implied, the Chomp King is an antagonistic character. He is  outwardly rude, arrogant, and condescending. He has little compassion or  pity for others, and feels no remorse for those in misery. Perhaps he  is not a caring individual because nobody ever cared about him, especially during his hours of struggle with mental illnesses.
He’s highly intelligent, and his ability to analyze and manipulate the thoughts and feelings of others is unparalleled. The rainbow ring which  circles his crown gives him the ability to hold those who look upon him  in a trance, giving him a clear shot to their hearts and minds.
Within his domain, he is respectful of his troops and holds them in high regard. His troops like him because he treats them with the care and attention that they deserve, that which he himself never received from the Koopa Troop. Anyone else he couldn’t care less about.
