Midia acts arrogant and overconfident out of defense, but in reality is insecure and genuinely king. He hates being alone and is a really good fighter and leader when needed.
He grew up being pushed into a lot by his parents to be as perfect as possibly, and as a result holds himself to too high standards. He went to the Acadamy to get away from his parents and better himself, but he gets caught up in Fitz's adventure.
Bellamy was the first person at the Academy to see through Midia's overconfident act, and actually befriend him. They compliment each other well.
Though Midia figures out he has a crush on Fitz relatively quickly, he still is incredibly annoyed with how he acts. But something about Fitz just compelled him to want to know more, like he was drawing him in. He doesn't get to confess his love entirely until almost 3 years have passed, when Fitz returns.
