Corona is the name Adam gives to his mysterious moth friend. Every year Corona is reborn amongst the nests of tent caterpillars as an unusual dark larva, and every year, after pupating, she returns to him, wherever he is. He sometimes wonders if she's the spirit of the forest itself flying alongside him. In the middle of fall is when she passes, having lived far longer than an average moth, and for the rest of the year he must fly solo.

Adam feels a strong connection to Corona, considering her his closest friend; possibly more akin to a soulmate. Though she cannot talk, he will often speak to her about his worries or problems and knows that she understands in the way she responds to his words and emotions. She can often be seen lazily circling his head or perched upon his ear. She flies faster depending on Adam's emotions.
