Delphi Xi

BACKSTORY

Delphi was raised in a normal household within Lithium City's core, an urban area with an industry focus on technology. Everything about her childhood was average, until the age of 9 years old, when her mother fell deathly ill. In order to pay off her medical debts, her father had to sign Delphi up for an experimental program run in secret by the world's largest tech company. This project, slated to last 3 months, would moniter brain growth of various subjects, and was known as Project Auxesia. This way, the Xi family could cut down living costs, and as a bonus, collect the neat sum of money the company behind it offered to guardians of any minor participants. However, the long-term effects of this project were catastrophic on the subject's bodies, with many dying or losing aspects of their mobility. Delphi was lucky enough to survive with only reduced sight in one eye and complete blindness in the other, but her problems didn't end there. The company behind Project Auxesia was "unable" to locate her family, and so, she was taken into the custody of fellow subject 19 year old Ryan Lyorde, who later moved in with Delphi's grandparents until they were adults.

MAIN STORY

Ever since they were released from Visatech's custody, Delphi and Ryan have harbored a burning hatred for the man behind the experiment, Sirius Axen. For years, they lived together in the slums of Lithium City, plotting their revenge when an unexpected visitor dropped in; somebody who Delphi hadn't seen in 14 years. From there, she learns of a second phase of the project that could potentially ruin more lives, and resolves to work together with her friends to help expose the corporation before it's too late. However, the higher-ups catch wind of this due to an accident caused during a failed data recovery attempt, and they will stop at nothing to keep their secrets hidden.
