Childhood best friend of Weis. The two were inseparable and great friends while growing up.

When they were an older teen, they got into a relationship with someone very abusive. It destroyed their relationships with others, including Weis. Weis begged them to leave the relationship but Narin couldn’t, out of love, fear, and other things.
They eventually found an opportunity to run away, but they had to run off with basically nothing and without saying any goodbyes, so they couldn’t be tracked down. Their ex told everyone Narin killed themself, claiming they jumped off a cliff into a river. They have no idea that everyone from their childhood town, including Weis, thought they were dead.
After running away, they were able to move to a planet a decent ways away from their home planet. Narin had never left their home planet before, and struggled adjusting to their new life. They were able to get into the swing of it with the help of some friends and work through their trauma and eventually got a part time job.
A few years later, their friends had to go their separate ways and Narin became roommates with a local they made friends with and two robots who needed a place to stay.
