Anders

Anders is kind, caring, perfectionistic, and driven.

He wants to make sure that everyone he comes across, regardless of if they're good or bad, have felt loved and cared for after talking with him. While this makes him extremely empathetic, he will go out of his way to sacrifice himself for other's happiness, often to a fault. Some would find this a good trait, and no doubt it likely is, but this also puts him at risk of hurting himself or being hurt by others.

Despite being kind, he is of the mind that being honest is in everyone's best interest. Even if the truth hurts, being honest will help more in the long run. He tries his best to soften things sometimes, but other times, the best option is to be assertive. This has gotten him in trouble before, but Anders doesn't particularly care for people who can't handle the truth or constructive criticism.

Anders despises being patronized, being talked down to, or being deliberately lied to, and will have no qualms in confronting someone about it. He isn't quick to anger, and doesn't like being angry, but those things in particular will press his buttons very quickly. With him being a quiet kind of person when he is angry, it's sometimes hard to tell, and he is unfortunately likely to lash out at people he does not intend to if pushed in the wrong ways.

Perfectionism make it's home in Anders's head. Everything must be perfect. It will instill anxiety in him if something is not up to his own standards, and he will refuse to stop until something is, he has to stop before he hurts himself, or eventually does end up pushing himself too far.

An unfortunate side effect of this perfectionism, along with years of trauma, is the self-depreciation. It is nearly constant, and most of the time, he doesn't even realize he's doing it. He doesn't mean to, but on the other hand, it's extremely uncomfortable to him to "brag" or compliment himself.

On the upside, he is an extremely driven individual that will do his best in everything he tries. He takes things seriously, no matter what; Goals, promises, dreams, jobs. While he can be somewhat unreliable due to memory issues, he is always genuine in doing whatever he can to get to where he needs to be or do the thing he needs to do.

Drive is only second to his passion. Anders is passionate in an intense way; when he feels passionate about something, he feels it with every single fibre of his being. It's something that even strangers tend to comment on. One issue with this, however, is that those who don't know him well enough could see this as obsessive - Anders makes a point to have a comfortable degree of mental disconnect, and is fully capable of understanding the nuances of things. He is not, and never has been, blind to his passions.

One of the worst things about Anders is that, unfortunately, anxiety rules him sometimes. Constantly on edge, always waiting for something to happen, always hypervigilant. This also comes from years of trauma and abuse, and is unlikely to leave anytime soon. This anxiety can cause him to be clingy, paranoid, and distrustful of anyone and everyone. It's extremely hard to earn his trust because of this, and if you do - it's best that you don't betray it.
